Look I'm be honest with you this place says never been the same ever since they changed over to first watch okay The place was taking over by individuals who wanted to take and try to get people to eat healthy all right And my thing is this at the end of the day is your choice as an individual to choose to eat what you want to eat If you want to eat or start eating healthier that's great there's nothing wrong with that but also it's your choice as a person to eat whatever you want to eat but long as you eat and have common sense when you eat it and eating moderation it should be okay Yes there are individuals out there who are really greedy and who eat and who are complete gluttons when it comes to eating and they eat like they ain't got no damn stopping sense their pigs all right straight greedy there's no doubt about that..

But overall like I said when it's all said and done the decision is yours and yours along to make so if you want to eat and get your money's worth let me tell you this place ain't it honestly speaking this place is like going to a place where you have whether they let's just say it's like going to a hotel and they have breakfast in the morning and you sitting and they got a nice size big lobby okay That's what this place is like it's like even though they make the food for you but the portion of food did they give you is not worth the amount of money that they charge you for the food items itself You don't get your money's worth and I'm just be honest with you The food items are totally overpriced for what they charge you let's just say the food amount that they give you don't match the price that they charge you because for what they charge you you can go home and make the same thing that they just made you in the kitchen back there and do a better job and you will get more because for one you've made it the way you wanted to be made and even though you tell him how you want your food made they go back there and try to make the food the way you ask for to be made but the majority of the time they make it the way they want to make it and plus not to mention they also portion out the food and for me if I'm sitting up there paying you a certain amount of money for these food items that you charge me for I want my money's worth and this place definitely don't give you your money's worth this is not one of those places you better off going down the street near the Walmart supercenter there in highland village and going to snooty pig even though snooty pigs place is not that big the one right there on 2499 and 407 Justin Road all right At least the food portion is a little bit more than it is here they have some nice decent staff individuals there that work there servers okay But the food items are very overpriced like I said you can do a better job of fixing your own food at home for what they charge you for the food that they serve here they would have been better off leaving this place the way it was when it was the egg and I they get way more customers when this place was the egg and I before they changed it over to this other company and all these other places that used to be agonized that first watch took over The only location that is called the egg and I which now is called the Great American egg is in only certain places you have one in Addison over there off of beltline Road and the Dallas Park tollway and you got one in dense in Texas all right those are the only two original egg and I which is now called the Great American egg their food porches are better and the atmosphere is better and plus you get way more customers they're coming there because the food is better but these first watch locations I'm sorry it's not worth it it's not worth the money that they charge you You can do a better job of cooking your own food at home and that's just being totally 1,000% bluntly honest with anybody that's thinking about going to these restaurants The only individuals I see going to these restaurants are individuals that don't feel like cooking at home in the morning And that's just...

Look I'm going to be totally 1,000% honest here okay first and foremost every since this place was changed and bought out by this other company called first watch or whatever you want to call it and it used to be the egg and I ever since it changed over to this other restaurant it went downhill I'm just be honest now the only people that like this place are people that was the best way to put this people that like food that is not as flavorful bottom line is this place is nothing to ride home about it's a simple basic place this place look like one of those regular coffee houses it's like going to a Starbucks that's it but with more room That's all it is it's like if you put two Starbucks together you know it's where you have more space that's basically all it is where Starbucks actually sells actual breakfast food you know not for just breakfast sandwiches but breakfast food so that's basically all this place is You mean the pancakes it's a healthy this place was basically opened up as a place by a person whoever the founder or concept person who brought this idea to the public of wanting to have it where people eat more healthy breakfast food wise that's it that's all it is So that's just like if you or me or any one of your relatives know how to cook food mainly breakfast food they can open up one of these places If one of your relatives or you yourself knows how to really cook good breakfast food and you have money to open up this business and start it you can do the same thing that's all first watch is I'm just like I said I believe in telling like it is I don't believe it's sugar coating it these first watch restaurants are nothing more than your basic one of the meal storefront places that people that come here can cook the same damn food they self at home The same thing the same drinks if they find out how to drink some made they can make the same damn drinks they just go to the store buy the stuff make it their self at home The food itself they can make the same types of food themselves at home same size pancakes all you got to do is get this you know certain type of pancake mix put a little additives in there whatever you can make the same regular basic stuff at home and then the prices that they charge you for the food when you done eating it's ridiculous So bottom line is at the end of the day No this place ain't nothing on the right home about everybody that be running to this these places that go fouling up in there those are people that basically cook the same way at home The same plan food all right that's just being honest like I said I don't believe in sugar cold nothing I believe in telling it like it is You can cook the same food at home yourself for what they give you trust me It is not worth it The only people going to go here are people that don't feel like cooking at home and they just want to meet up with other family members a little friends in the neighbors or they little book club and they said hey let's find somewhere to meet up and we can get breakfast while we're there there you go like I said it's nothing but a Starbucks times two but just sell a basic breakfast food that you can make at home but with a pricey price tag I'm not saying downtown prices but the cost of what people charge at these restaurants nowadays is ridiculous That's why you got so many people started cooking at home going shopping buying groceries and cooking at home because like I said a lot of these places then went up on the lottery prices so a lot of people decide to start cooking at home now But yeah the the service it is pretty decent You have people there that are pretty pretty customer friendly like I said it atmosphere is nothing to write home about like I said it's nothing that I would be cutting flips or jumping for joy about like I said it's just like going to your regular basic Starbucks times two that's it Just what like I said again I reiterate just selling breakfast food that you can make at home yourself and you probably could do a better job at home you're damn...

updated review for First Watch:

After sharing my concerns about my initial visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the prompt and thoughtful response from Mr. Guzman. He reached out to address my feedback, listened carefully to my concerns, and generously offered gift cards for a return visit to any First Watch location. I decided to use them on my birthday, which turned out to be a fantastic decision! I even got to enjoy their birthday special: buy one entrée, get one half off.

I visited the 81st Street location in Tulsa and this time, everything was excellent. The service was attentive, and the food was delicious. For starters, we enjoyed coffee, water, and the festive “Red Medicine” drinks from their holiday menu. Our party of four ordered a variety of dishes, including the Trifecta, the Chorizo Omelette, the Traditional Breakfast with chicken sausage, and plenty of bacon. To top it all off, I added a Carrot Cake & Pecan Pancake for a touch of flair—it did not disappoint!

This visit completely changed my perspective on First Watch. The team went above and beyond to make things right, and I genuinely appreciated their effort. It turned out to be a memorable birthday brunch, and I’m looking forward to visiting again. Thank you, First Watch! ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I have to say, First Watch hasn’t been the same since they took over from The Egg & I. The new focus on healthy eating is fine if that’s what you’re into, but it feels like they’ve forgotten to balance portion size and value with their price. Sure, it’s great to have the option to eat healthier, but at the end of the day, it should be your choice how you eat. What really stands out here is the lack of value for what they charge. The portions are small, and for the price, you could easily make the same meal at home, and likely better. Even when you specify how you want your meal prepared, it often comes out the way they think it should be, not how you asked.

If you’re looking for a place to get your money’s worth, this isn’t it. It’s like going to a hotel where they serve a basic breakfast in a big lobby—decent enough, but certainly not worth the price they ask for it. If you’re after bigger portions and better value, you’d be better off heading to a local spot like Snooty Pig. The atmosphere there is friendlier, and the portions are more reasonable. It’s a shame, because when it was The Egg & I, they had a much larger customer base. Now, with First Watch, you’re just paying a premium for less food.

Bottom line, unless you don’t feel like cooking at home, I’d suggest giving this...

First Watch consistently delivers a delightful blend of healthy options and indulgent comfort food, making it a go-to destination for breakfast and brunch enthusiasts. On my recent visit, I was greeted with warm service and a bright, welcoming ambiance. The Food The menu caters to a variety of tastes, from classic breakfast staples to creative twists on modern dishes. I opted for the Avocado Toast, which was a generous serving of multigrain bread topped with perfectly ripe avocado, a sprinkle of sea salt, and a side of lightly dressed greens. For protein, I paired it with the Elevated Egg Sandwich, featuring cage-free eggs, Gruyère cheese, and fresh arugula. Both dishes were artfully presented and bursting with flavor. Their Million Dollar Bacon lives up to the hype—thick-cut, caramelized with brown sugar, and finished with a hint of spice, it’s the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The Drinks First Watch’s juice bar is a standout feature. The Morning Meditation, a mix of orange, lemon, turmeric, and beet, was both refreshing and revitalizing. Coffee lovers won’t be disappointed either; their freshly brewed coffee is smooth and satisfying. The Atmosphere The airy, modern farmhouse decor creates a relaxed yet chic environment, ideal for a leisurely meal or casual meet-up. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The Verdict First Watch excels at providing fresh, high-quality ingredients in a comfortable and inviting setting. Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast, a health-conscious bite, or just a great cup of coffee, First Watch is a fantastic choice. Rating: 5/5 Would definitely return for more!

I recently visited First Watch Cafe and had an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly welcome from the staff. Our waitress, Bianca, was especially outstanding. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was top-notch. The food was absolutely delicious - fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the Floridian French Toast, avocado toast and the seasonal fruit bowl. The coffee was also excellent - rich and smooth. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with plenty of natural light and comfortable seating. The decor was modern and stylish, with a touch of rustic charm. Overall, I would highly recommend First Watch Cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience. And if you're lucky enough to have Bianca as your waitress, you're in for a real treat! She truly made our visit unforgettable. Five stars all around!
