We were so disappointed in our experience here. I never complain or write negative reviews but I’ve never had an experience quite like this.
We went on 7/4 in the morning. We were three adults, a 4 year old, and a 1 year old. When we arrived the restaurant did not look busy, but the hostess said she wanted to wait to seat us because we had kids and she didn’t want to “overwhelm the server.” We said no problem, kind of odd but whatever. We were standing waiting for a bit when another party our size (all adults) walks in and gets seated right away. I’m usually very laid back but this didn’t sit right with me, we shouldn’t be treated differently because we have children. My dad then went up to the hostess stand and politely asked hey are we next to be seated? And the hostess looked at us for a few seconds and said “umm…. Sure” hesitantly and then sat us. It was the oddest interaction, I felt like they didn’t want us there?
Our waiter was a very nice young guy, but oh man the service was not good. He may have been new so I gave him the benefit of the doubt but by the fourth time we repeated our order it was getting old. Our food arrived about 1 hour and 10 minutes after we sat down, which was rough with hungry kids! Again I totally understand if they’re busy but we saw other tables all get their food first and again there were lots of open tables so I’m not sure what the deal was.
My son saw another kid get chocolate milk and excitedly asked our server for chocolate milk. His response was that the baristas were overwhelmed but he’ll see what he can do. Again I get it if they’re busy but it felt like we were an inconvenience to them and it was so uncomfortable.
When our food arrived the young lady who brought it out had long black 1.5 inch pointy nails… I’m sure they would look so cute in another context but very unsanitary when you’re working with food.. case in point her ENTIRE long black nail was IN my scrambled eggs when she brought my plate over. It was so gross but at that point we were so hungry I didn’t say anything. I didn’t want to embarrass her but you really shouldn’t have extremely long nails when serving food, it can’t be sanitary. Or at least make sure they’re not dipping into the food.
The whole wait our server left us alone but as soon as we were eating he came by six times to ask if we needed anything, we soon caught on he was trying to rush us out as more people were now waiting for a table. We ate quickly and he brought our check.
Our bill for 3 adults and one child? (Baby shared our food) … $127!!!! My husband didn’t want to make a big deal so he just paid it. Our server then came back and said oops he gave us the wrong check and then gave us the “right” one… I looked at it and it was around $100 because he had charged us for each thing individually. For example instead of combining eggs, bacon, and French toast as a combo or suggesting a combo that had those items each thing was individual. We definitely would not have ordered a la carte like that if I knew we would be spending that much! He then asked my husband if he wanted to adjust the tip for the new total…. So much talk about the tip!! My husband tipped him $27 because it was what popped up on the mobile screen and we were so done and just wanted to leave. That’s insane though to charge that much and then ask for a $27 tip!
While we were still eating our server piled all of the dirty silverware on the plate of French toast we were sharing.. gross. It would have been nice to ask if we were finished.
When we were about to leave our server comes by and talks for a few minutes about leaving him a review and how we each would get $10 for a review totaling $60… I appreciate the hustle but dude read the room! That was terrible service, and then to ask for a bigger tip and hound us to write him a review when we were treated like an inconvenience with kids really put me over the edge. We didn’t say anything because I understand it can be hard working in food service (I was a waitress for years) but honestly I’ve never had such a...

In addition, the service was friendly and fast overall. We had very little wait on a Sunday morning, though we were slightly ahead of the after-church rush. The atmosphere here is upbeat and incredibly clean, with a dash of sophisticated efficiency from both front and back of house.
I peaked in the kitchen while on my way to the bathroom, and both were super clean, though the bathroom was considerably less bustling than the kitchen, thank goodness!
Today it seems the only kitchen flub was the hash browns. I'm not sure if the potatoes weren't soaked long enough after shredding, or if the batch our table got was just rushed in the cooking process...but across the table everyone had starchy, gummy hashbrowns with very minimal browning or seasoning.
My only caveat is the prices. Even for scratch-made, expertly cooked food delivered hot and fresh and with a smile, the dishes were not upscale enough, not the location prestigious enough to warrant such prices.
Biscuits and Gravy with eggs and hashbrowns are $14.50! That's more than double what I would consider expensive for such a humble dish. While it was tasty, it wasn't anything to write home about, and certainly nothing to justify such a steep markup.
The Loaded Potatoes are another laughable example of outrageous pricing. For $14.50 you can get some cubed potatoes, cheese and eggs. You also get two of either meat or veggies. Any additional ingredients start at $1 to add. Hardly loaded: a loaded baked potato has at least 7or 8 ingredients, and you can get one the size of your head for less than $10 at a place like Jason's Deli.
Let's say you want to have your taters with bacon and peppers, but also want tomatoes, mushrooms, and onion. Now your dish is $17.50.
Nearly 20 dollars for a paltry excuse of a 'loaded' dish. These are State Fair prices, and just like the State Fair, I'll only go back to give my family an amazing experience.
DONT MISS:
• Green sauce that comes with the breakfast tacos. Fantastic and complex flavors that really compliment the fresh tortillas!
• Oreo latte. Reported to taste of midnight snacks and simple childhood memories, but with the adult flavors of coffee, too.
• Texas-Sized pancakes. One will fill you up, and there's a ton of great flavor options: Birthday Cake, Cinnamon Roll, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake all looked really good, but we settled on Blueberry Strudel and have zero regrets.
• Any of the Mimosas. We shared a carafe of the spring special Pineapple Mimosa, and it was great! Strongly mixed with the lightest of pineapple flavors, it felt a little like my champagne was walked past a few pineapples on the way to our table.
• Superb front of house staff. Enough people scheduled that the team was operating smoothly, even with large parties arriving and departing, the dining room was seamlessly reconfigured a few times during our visit. Everyone working had an air of confidence and cheerfulness, not the fake-happy of corporate breathing down everyone's neck, but the real joy of being good at your job with a team who is good at their jobs too.
When a member of a large party accidentally bumped into a server carrying ice waters-sending a small but cold shower down onto shoulders and floor, the staff responded beautifully. Apologies made, jokes delivered to ease tension, and towels produced from thin air followed shortly by a fresh round of ice waters which safely landed on the table top.
That wasn't just one server doing a good job, that was a whole dang team of awesome people seeing and filling a need to ensure their brunch service sailed on bravely into the rush. Y'all BARELY looked flustered and that's something you should all be very proud of.
I was going to leave 3 stars, but the FOH knocked it out of the park today. I hope y'all in management take note and give everyone a well...
Read moreI just went today to try out the place and i will outline the few things that gave it three stars. Food: Good Food was pretty good, i had two of the benedicts as well as their house coffee. The coffee is a little bitter and my only complaint was the coffee bean shard at the bottom of the cup. Their hash browns are the best as they cook and season them just right as well as the Irish and original benedicts. The portions are decently sized but i thing it is a little pricey. Atmosphere: ok The place feels more like a open food court with its tiled floors and tall ceilings, but it is missing its flair. The color is pretty much black and white with brown tiles and they cover some of the walls with coffee bags and a few pieces of art. The noise though is what kills it, between the echoing of everyone else talking and the numerous machines smacked dab in the middle of the restaurant it was hard to keep a conversation. I would recommend coloring the walls a different color and filling the walls with more art, maybe a little background music wouldn't hurt. Service: ok The first minute i walked in my group was ignored for 10 minutes as the hostess was also helping with tables and other customers and none of the passing waiters bothered to say hi. Seating for waiting the 10 minutes we did is pretty sparse and is a reason most big groups waited outside. Our waitress got our drinks pretty fast once we sat down but took her 15 minutes to get our order taken after passing us multiple times. it also took over 15 minutes to get our check and leave once we did eat. The food did come out but it came out in bunches as they were taking out multiple tables at the same time. I would recommend having someone keep an eye on the front counter more often as well as have a more engaging staff that at least says hi be with you in a minute as well as checks on the tables in a timely manner. I would also suggest taking out a tables order completely instead of one piece here and another piece two minutes later as you fill anothers table. It would have been nice to see a manager or owner running around to and check on the tables, i couldn't even figure out which one was running the place at all and its very alienating to me as a customer.
The only other thing i can say is parking is limited and most of the time you will have to park in the parking lot infront of the car wash but i cant blame that on them. Most of the problems can be fixed pretty easily but for now its just...
