Edit/add of my previous review of Pei Wei Flower Mound. As good as Pei Wei Flower was on their initial open and for several months thereafter where I rated them 5 stars across the board… it’s taken several steps back. To the point where we’ve gone from eating there probably once a week to maybe once a month or two. And after the last two meals (one takeout and one eat in), we might not be going back unless things change. The chicken has been dry, hard, stringy, chewy and overcooked. It was like eating chicken jerky and had no sauce. Just a bit of glaze. The rice was chalky, semi hard and not fully steamed. The rice and chicken were devoid of any sauce that really makes or defines the dish. Items ordered were Pei Wei spicy chicken, teriyaki chicken, and General Tao’s. Contrast current situation above to what I had shared in my previous review (below) and I’m not sure how this has fallen off so much quality wise. Very disappointing.

Read moreVery seldom does a restaurant absolutely crush it out of the park in every category — this Pei Wei is that VERY rare exception. Everything was truly exceptional: food, atmosphere, and most noteworthy — the service. Andrea is absolutely deserving of any and all recognition anyone can give her; she is the shining light in a world consumed with selfishness, cynicism, and negativity. Thank you for such an outstanding experience. What I originally thought was going to be just another mundane lunch hour turned out to be an interaction with Andrea that was so authentically pleasant, she returned a little bit of my faith that there are still a handful of good people left in the...
