Smoothie King has always been one of my go-to spots for a quick boost, especially when I want something high in protein that doubles as a meal replacement. I stopped at this location with those same expectations, ordering a protein-heavy smoothie I’ve had at other stores, but the experience didn’t quite measure up. The flavor was off compared to what I’m used to, almost like the balance of ingredients wasn’t right, and it left me wishing it had the same punch as other locations I’ve tried.
The bigger issue was the wait. Smoothie King is usually about convenience, grab-and-go nutrition that fits into a busy day. Here, the drive-thru took a really long time, long enough that it stood out compared to the quick service I normally associate with the brand. It’s not the end of the world, but it chipped away at the experience.
What makes it tough is that I know how good Smoothie King can be. They offer a wide variety of smoothies, from fruity refreshers to full-on protein blends, and most locations nail the consistency. Read moreMy family and I have been going to this place for as long as it has been open. Up until recently, the girl that worked there was amazing. We generally drive-through in the morning on the way to school for kids breakfast. The girl that worked there was quick, able to take the order without asking twice, and processed a smoothie that tasted consistently good. In the last few weeks, several new teenagers are now running the store in the morning, and it has been a huge disappointment. At first, we figured it was a learning curve. Now we have realized The overall quality has just dropped. Orders now take two or three explanations, our minimum wait time for two smoothies is now between 5 and 10 minutes (even when there is no one in the store) and overall attentiveness and customer service is not professional. My wife and I agreed that we would give it one more chance, but if we have the same lack of service and slow service, that we will stop ordering from this place. The reason why the time is so important, is that the kids have been late to school every time we order from here. The school is not accepting a reason like the drive-through was slow. My son had a horrible allergic reaction, I have had to stop feeding and pump and dump. Milk can take up to 3 weeks to get out of the system and that means a severe issue for my supply. When I called there was no manager in all weekend. When I called the morning a manager finally came in she refused to look up my order at that time, never called me back, then when I called to follow up she lied saying she tried calling me 5 times then when explained the issue she just kept saying ok with an attitude.
