I am not sure how this location is rated so highly on Google, my experience was much closer to the two star rating on Yelp. The first thing I noticed was the dirty tables. Although it was 5:30PM on Tuesday and the dinner crowd had not arrived, the tables looked like lunch had just ended. Many tables needed to be bussed. The restaurant was pretty empty, only about eight people besides the staff. The next thing I saw was that the salad station had no containers at the serving station. They had been pulled as though for closing. I found out soon that the restaurant had run out of iceberg and romaine lettuce. This was surprising with a Market Street next door and a Kroger's Grocery across the street. (No salads) I ordered the Chicken la Madeleine and my wife ordered a sandwich and tomato bisque. While the Chicken la Madeleine looked delicious, the broccoli and rice sides were cold, like refrigerator cold. The chicken was about room temperature. My wife's sandwich was hot but the tomato bisque was cold. The staff seemed very happy, as they spent a lot of time in the kitchen laughing loudly and eventually one of the staff came out and started to clean off tables. Overall I was disappointed in the experience. Usually La Madeleine is a very good place to dine. This location seems to need better kitchen management and to stay on top of cleaning the...

Read moreDining inside La Madeline used to be an experience. The warm atmosphere used to be so nice and felt like you were eating at a Parisian cafe. Now when you go inside you order and sit down at a table with disgusting built up grime on the table. Not a single table inside the restaurant is without that sticky leftover cleaning product that covers the entire surface of the tables. On top of that every time we go inside for dinner, without fail, someone is mopping the floors right by where you walk in. It will be 4 hours til they close, and best believe they are still at the front mopping the floors for closing. To make it even more inconvenient for you to dine in, they block off the exit from the seating so that in order to leave you must shimmy all the way back past the line of people so that you may leave. They used to have a nice bread box out for dine in guests and now you are tossed a plastic baggie of stale bread upon request. The food prices have gone up as with everything else and they could make up for it through the dining experience but they don’t. Don’t bother ordering online either or else you’ll be paying a premium to get 1/2 the portion size. Sad to see one of favorite restaurants...
