Edit: Something has changed at Taco Ocho in Flower Mound. This is now the second time in a row our online order has been missing the $8 queso. My son's order was also wrong for the second time in a row. He hates chicken and his cheese quesadilla has had chicken in it... so I am now cooking him a cheese quesadilla at home. We got three bags of chips and one tiny thing of salsa. They're missing all of the little details that make a good restaurant great. The food is still delicious, but we're going to be looking elsewhere the next time our family wants tacos.
Cannot say enough good things about Taco Ocho. It's easily my family's favorite place in Flower Mound to eat and is a weekly destination (at least) for us. Don't think of this as your average taco joint, it's so much more than that. The food is fantastic and the flavors are unique (don't sleep on the Cuzco torta, it's the BEST). They have great options for everyone including my sister who is Vegan. It's simply the best place in...
Read moreWe had no prior expectations for this place. We stumbled upon it while searching on Google for Mexican restaurants to eat. This place seems really similar to Fuzzy's or Torchy's Tacos. You order at the front then sit down, and they'll bring you your food. It's more casual dining. Cute, little bar area in the middle. The inside of the restaurant was clean. There's seating outdoors, and you can bring pets out there, which is cool. Drinks are locally made, I believe. No chain sodas. My boyfriend got the chicken torta, and he said it was really good. It came with chips and salsa. The salsa was awesome. I ordered the nachos, and they were BOMB. The beef fajita meat was good, chips were fresh, and the queso on the nachos was amazing. Big portions also, plus mine came with salsa, as well. The guy, who I think was the supervisor, was so friendly. Overall, definitely a cool place to check out for some quick, good,...
Read moreThis establishment has, in all earnestness, the most overtly distinguished and expertly crafted tacos that I have ever had the privilege of consuming. Don’t get me wrong— I’m no “taco sommelier”; nor do I claim to be an aficionado of fine cuisine. I can, however, say with a fairly high degree of certainty that I know damn good cookin’ when I see it. Well I seen it, smelt it, and felt it. With my right hand on the Bible (and my left hand clutching a “Pura Vida”), I hereby attest to the outstanding quality, phenomenal service, and reasonable prices found only at Taco Ocho!
P.S. Order from their array of clearly labeled Vegan offerings. They boast an objective superiority in flavor, nutrition, and environmental impact mitigation. Not to mention, plant based foods never require the imprisonment and subsequent slaughter of innocent, sentient beings at an innumerable scale. Yum, yum! Yummy...
