I had the seafood combo dinner. I had deep fried oysters and grilled scallops, mixed vegetables and potato slices. And a super small house salad with their comeback dressing. Oysters and scallops were on point, very, very good. Although quantity was lacking, only three scallops and if my memory serves me correctly, six oysters. But again, they were outstanding. Also the potatoes were great, should have gotten double potatoes and left the mixed vegetables alone, which I did on my plate. I'll know next time. Service was ok. Not bad, not fantastic. The comeback dressing was outstanding. Although it was one of the smallest house I have ever had. Meal also came with a small basket of bread for small slices which was very good but needed pats of butter, which I asked about and they said they don't have any butter they don't cook with butter which that's fine but no butter for bread or crackers with your salad I don't get that also a pat of butter might have made the mixed vegetables edible. This is something this restaurant must address. Overall my meal was okay. But if I was to grade just the oysters and scallops short of being not much quantity I would have graded four plus stars, even without the shortcomings of no butter, small salad and bland mixed vegetables that had a rubbery consistency. Either cook my mixed vegetables crunchy or soft but not rubbery. I would guess they were steamed need to revisit that. The price was on par for the fair, not cheap not expensive. I did tip a customary 20%, which I generally reserve for above and beyond service but like I said service was okay. My friend had the ribeye steak same thing he said with the vegetables were a no-go should have double potatoes same thing on salad very small great comeback salad dressing but I must say the steak did not look good there was lots of gristle it wasn't grilled looking honestly it looked boiled I know it wasn't but I didn't have the steak and he said the steak was okay. But knowing this visually I would never get their steak. If it was cooked on a grill it needs to look like it was cooked on a grill possibly the restaurant using no butter might be the problem. Overall restaurant is worth trying out for yourself. And I hope if and when I go back that it will be better so I can give a four plus star rating. I believe this was a very fair assessment of...

This was the first time I've ever been to Eslava's Grille. The service was mediocre at best, and the lunch entrée I ordered was more than disappointing along with the ridiculous small two bite side salad with little to no salad dressing as if it was being rationed. I ordered the Crawfish Cajun Pasta...maybe living on the coast for 10 years and all, I may have been spoiled by really tasty Crawfish Cajun Pasta, I dunno. The crawfish tasted old and maybe even reheated or microwaved, and the pasta was in a dish of watered down what I'm assuming was supposed to be a sauce. It had flavor, but it wasn't a sauce that stuck to the pasta with the dried out crawfish tails. I ordered the crawfish pasta and for 13 dallors it came in a small salad bowl. The person hearing the noodles in a hot water dip did correctly drain the pasta before plating so what little cream sauce there was completely watered down and I had to eat it with a spoon like soup. my wife got the chicken scampi same thing watered down and flavorless. My family went 2 weeks ago and I just found out or I wouldn't have went yesterday. My uncle had a small complaint about his food and the owner picked up the plates from while they were eating and asked them to leave!! That's not ok. I am a chef and 1st off you always make the situation right not tell someone to leave. 2nd the food for that kind of price needs to be plentiful and better prepared.
