The food was so amazing, I had to drive back from Orange beach the next day! The chocolate chunk cookies will please ANY cookie lover. The chai cinnamon rolls are quite sweet but absolutely delectable—share if you don’t want all that sugar to yourself, and grab a savory treat as well! Unfortunately for me, that carne asada burrito was the best I’ve had in years. This is unfortunate because I live hours away…Really though, it blew my mind how amazing everything was. The staff was so friendly and warm, and even though they were busy they took time when they could to say hello and talk. The experience was great, really. I would highly recommend the lunch to anyone. I also had the choc chunk brown sugar butter (? Something like that) cookie, the chamomile walnut cookie, a pan au chocolat, and a chai cinnamon roll. And also a dill pickle pizza focaccia. (Not all at once, but once I tried them all I had to get doubles to take home). I was ready to hate the focaccia and after one bite, I resented my friend for making me share with her. Truly amazing. Vegans & non-vegans alike will absolutely enjoy this place. If you’re in the area and not visiting Black Cat, you’re seriously missing out. Make sure to visit early, as I suspect they sell out most days. Next time I’ll be there bright and early for that bacon & asparagus quiche. Oh how wonderful it looked!! Wow it’s finally here!! The day we have all be waiting for!!!! A brick and mortar for our favorite obsession!! This is a blessing to our community! For allergy concerned citizens in our community this is your new favorite place. TRUST ME! For non allergy concerned citizens, TRUST ME these gorgeous and incredibly delicious treats will be YOUR new obsession!!! Nothing is overly sweet. I want to eat it all immediately, it’s dangerous. Just wait for the king cakes…… 👀👀👀🤤🤤🤤 most of the items are large and made with the best and most nutritious ingredients you can get. You will say to yourself “Ok this looks sweet and too good to eat. I will just have half of it now, and save the rest for later”…… you will finish it the next second wondering why you even tried to lie yourself. Prices are low for the quality and allergy conscious ingredients as well as the amount you get! I’m so tickled to be able to go buy these items closer to us instead of having to wait for special occasions or making them ourselves more expensively due to products we have to purchase through the grocery stores!! Before going vegan myself, I used to travel just to find the best French patisseries in every city I’d visit. With that being said, we are very blessed to have access to the magic that is Black Cat Vegan Bakery. Each time I’ve had the pleasure of eating one of Lindsey’s creations, it is always a divine taste bud experience. I know that sounds dramatic but I am not playing when I say this woman pays attention to detail and bakes with so much love, good energy and heart. The textures are perfect, flavors are intense, and aesthetics almost always feel too beautiful to eat. The croissant layers are so flaky and buttery. The cookies are the best I’ve ever had - crisp edges, brown butter goodness, moist in the middle - imagine your grandmas baking but a million times elevated. Also, the new bakery location is super cute and cozy and really such a vibe because everyone is always in good spirits.
