KFC — Restaurant in Folsom

We didn't actually get to eat the food because we were charged more than $5 over what the drive thru and online menu stated the price was. So when we asked the already snotty cashier about it, she responded by telling us that the prices were recently increased and both menus were wrong. We tried to explain to her that this can't be, and is actually not legal in California, but she insisted that it was fine and we were just making a big deal over $6. (Practically nothing or a whole other meal depending on how you want to look at it) So, we asked her to void the transaction and refund the full amount back to my card. But she proceeded to take money from the register to give us, without voiding the transaction or refunding the order in the system, instead of putting the money back on the card we paid with as I asked. When I pointed this out, wondering how that's going to work out for her, she printed out a duplicate receipt of the original transaction and as she handed it to me said the money will be going to back to my card within three to five days, and I can give her back the money, but I wasn't going to give her the cash back because she never produced a receipt showing a reversal of funds to the card and when we called our bank to flag the action because it was so unusual they said it was super suspicious behavior that they have seen before when some dishonest people use their position as cashiers to scam money and or card information from customers. I just wanted a corn dog and a root beer , in the end We had to replace our bank card and didn't get to eat our corn dogs and drink...

I’m not one to write bad reviews but wow. This location has a large sign by the drive-through that states if they don’t give you your receipt your meal is free. The manager was working the window and did not give me my receipt she had me wait out front for my food and when it was brought to me the receipt was also not with the food. The person who brought me my real food ran off before I could stop him so I called the store and told the manager that I had just come through and she didn’t receive a receipt and that I was excited that I get my meal free. I was cool about it though and I told her “if it’s going to get you in trouble don’t worry about it.” She said oh I see your receipt right here. And she simply said no and hung up on me. I called back and said I think got disconnected. She said that offer is only valid at the time you are being handed your food. I said I was just handed my food and you have my receipt so you know that I didn’t get my receipt she did not want to refund my money and hung up again I said OK I’m not going to bother with it but I felt that this was a poor way to treat customers. The Tuesday special of 8 piece chicken for $10 called to me. Hubs ordered that and other items off the app. I picked it up. The order was done on time. It was perfectly packed and the bag was sealed shut, vacuum sealed style. I showed them the order on my phone. Then I was on my merry way. Well not quite, I did stand in line to buy a A&W root beer. I tried to resist but I sure dig their root beer, only their brand though. The root beer doesn’t have HFCS, it’s made with real sugar. However, all the other sodas they carry have HFCS.

The cashier was a hoot to talk to. She had a big, bold personality with a bright smile and a kind vibe. I also noticed the dining area and soda station was super clean and tidy.

When I got home, I tore open the bag. My entire order was there, nothing missing. I even got plastic utensils, napkins, and condiments. The chicken pieces were substantial and not puny sized, served hot. The pieces were drumsticks and thighs. I also bought mashed potatoes, gravy, mac n cheese, coleslaw, and biscuits. Their coleslaw is my favorite out of all the fast food joints. The buttermilk biscuits are tasty too but the size seemed to have shrunk from previous years. But everything tasted as it should.
