Denny's — Restaurant in Fontana

I decided to stop by and treat my family to the new Plant Based Grand Slam. On the paper menu and also if you go online to the menu, it clearly reads that the Plant Based Slam is served with hash browns and fruit. I went to another 2 Dennys locations and they always ask me if I want it the Plant Based way that comes with hash browns and fruit or if I would like eggs and sausage. I always get it the Plant Based original way like mentioned online. For some reason at this location the server got upset that I said the Plant based original version like online and she said that it would be extra charge to substitute the eggs and sausage for fruit. I was dumbfounded because on the paper menu as well as online it shows the price of $13.49 and she said she would be charging us $14.49 because she insisted that it came with eggs and sausage and I could not sub that out unless I paid the extra for fruit. It really made no sense. It is the first time I have ever been treated this way at any Dennys. To top it off , I asked to speak to the manager about how they were changing the price on me when in the paper and online menu it clearly states the price and what it is served with for that price. The manager also insisted that they would need to charge extra even though I read line by line what is stated on the menu. The manager herself was saying that she doesn’t go by the menu. I don’t know how this makes sense but I am sure that is illegal to change prices on one individual. I don’t know why all this hatred and discrimination for wanting something plant based like advertised on menu, online and even all over social media platforms came towards me. I would suggest everyone go to a different location that doesn’t charge hidden fees and discrimination fees. How is not wanting eggs and sausage more expensive. It has no common sense. It was clearly...

Wish I could give less than 1 star...summary of our last 3 visits...

Average Dennys experience. Continually had to flag down the server for refils and then dessert. Was a very quiet night here and they could have provided better service.

Our next time in... we came in shortly after our large party... and ordered 2 burgers and a side of eggs to go. They said it may be 20 minutes. An hour and a half later we finally got our order... All the food was taking this long. No manager in site. Tell your guests it will take an eternity and/or give a discount. We paid full price for waiting. No apologies. Terrible Dennys save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

This is the last time ever at this horrible location.... we were a party of 3...we were the 3rd or 4th table in at about 5pm...our server and a manager were the only two FOH employees. our meal cost over $80 and we only enjoyed the side of fries and mozzarella sticks.... the shakes were the consistency of chocolate milk with twice the chocolate syrup they needed. When we got the entrees we sat for several minutes with no utensils, no napkins and no dressing for the salad. The avocado on the salad was not ripe and the lettuce was wilted, the pot roast was very fatty with undercooked vegetables, the skillet and hashbrowns were very salty. We left a lot more on the table than we ate and I was with two hungry teenagers. Nobody ever came to check on us and ask about the meal and we never got our bill. Decided to pay and leave and take the kids home so they could make themselves...

Order the turkey cheese melt and I got the double cheese burger and first you could count the number of fries you go in less then 10 seconds, which happen often at the dennys. If you go make sure your not skimped. But the real low score is that we got the turkey melt and Turkey taste rotten, I know what it taste like cause I've had new and old turkey in the fridge and ate the wrong turkey. And told the waitress and which was hard to get her attention. After about 20 minutes waiting for her to come back to the table called her over and she got bother by that and when I told her about the turkey she said, with really bad attitude and made it extra awkward and uncomfortable, what you want me to take it off you bill!! The plate still had fries and whole half of turkey and two bites out of other half and what little fries we got. We were gonna get a different melt or even different item but really want to leave and she credit us but the embarrassment was really bad and insult to injury it was grad night for a lot of...
