Mimi's Cafe — Restaurant in Fontana

Service was terrible, my wife, daughter, and I had decided to go here for brunch we were seated decently quick, however once we were seated we were greeted by the most dullest waiter. Im not saying he should have put on a fake smile or anything like that but, at least make me feel like you want my experience to be good or something, this guy just made it very obvious he did not want to be there and did not wish to serve us. It was MY first time being there so i needed a bit to really decide what I wanted so i asked him to give me a moment, We did not see him for a good 30 minutes. When I intercepted him He gave us our drinks and I had asked him for straws, he took a good 20 minutes then to give us straws. After waiting for a while, he barely comes back and gives us our straws then tells us he is going on his break (all of a sudden sounding all chipper and dandy) and does not tell us who our new waiter is so we were left there for another good 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. I had to tell the hostess to send us a waiter so i can just pay for the drinks. Now that I think of it I should not have paid for anything after such horrible service, we will never return here. So we have gone to this Mimi's every year on Mothers Day for the last several years now. This year, they did not offer the full menu, as they had in previous years. It would have been nice to know this when we made our reservation. None of us really wanted anything on their limited menu (their were only 7 menu options). Our reservation was for noon. We checked in at 11:30. We did not get sat until 12:45. We might as well have not even made a reservation. Our food came before our soups. I had the grilled salmon which was ok. My husband had the grilled chicken and bacon penne. It was horrible. Their was no flavor to it at all. He did not eat it. Instead he just ate his side salad. When he complained to the server about his food, she did not offer to exchange it for another menu item and she charged him for the whole meal even though he did not eat it. I am appalled at the poor quality of food and customer service at this location. They made no effort at all to correct the issue, which is highly disappointing, especially since our bill was $212. Needless to say next year, our party of 9 will take our business elsewhere. We will not be back to this...

Worst customer service. I didn't realize that service dogs had more rights than paying customer's do and I am not a dog hatter I just feel that there should be a special eating area for dogs. It was discussing to eat my breakfast and watch a dog eating off the carpet. 🤔 I called Cory over she was the supervisor on duty and asked her why a dog was indoors when there was plenty of outside seating available and she said she couldn't do anything about it because he was a service dog. I told Cory It discusses me to finish my meal and left. Cory was not willing to make things better for me and still charged me for coffee and muffin but didn't charge me for the meal.. I will never go back to Mimis Cafe. This is the second time I've visited this location and Cory was supervisor on duty and felt that she was always rushed. When I walked in Mimis there was two people waiting and she asked if she could sit them down and they said they were there to talk about who was their cleaning services being done by. So instead of having them wait so she could seat me I had to stand there and listen for 15 minutes of there sales pitch to Cory. Never will go back to this Fontana...
