Verde — Restaurant in Forest Acres

Stopped by for the first time today and certainly won’t be the last. The staff was very helpful in recommending popular salads as it was my first time there and there are so many options. Decided to go with the Cobb. It was very good, nice that it is made with roasted turkey. All the ingredients were of high quality and very fresh. Will definitely be coming back to try more salads and make my own creations.

Downgrading from a 5/5 — 3/5 based on the chicken. Unfortunately, most salad places seem to use the same bland chicken. It tastes like salted boiled chicken and Verde uses the same. I’ve tried a couple of the their chicken salads now and they are always disappointing because the chicken is just...so...bland. Toppings, dressings, etc cannot overcome the taste of boiled pulled chicken, especially since they are generous with the quantity (which would otherwise be nice.)

Great idea, bad execution. I've ordered takeout here a few times since they opened. I love the menu and the options, but every salad that I've ordered has been a disappointment in terms of quality. The greens are either a bit brown or soggy/slimy. The spinach in my order today had what I can only describe as some spinach that looked like it was cooked (shriveled, wet, and dark green)--not sure if that's safe to eat. The apples are never peeled so there's tough red delicious skin on not-super-fresh apple chunks. The apples have also been a bit brown before. The sweet potatoes also aren't peeled, so there's skin falling off the chunks in my salad, which is something I don't enjoy. The portion size is indeed huge (although a little room in the to go bowl would make it easier to eat). In any event, I think I'm crossing this place off my lunch list, since I can make way better...

Overall 8/10 - would come back for a fresh and healthy salad! 🥗

Food: ordered the Chicken Sesame salad - 8.2/10 👌 good sesame dressing, the veggies all taste fresh and the chicken is tender also. Tasted the quality! To drink I got the grey drink which I was told is a charcoal lemonade. It was lite and refreshing! 😋 good flavor!! The vegan oatmeal cookie was good. 4/5 for flavor.

Service: service met average standard. The young Kandy serving me was helpful to recommend three options, helping me narrow down the menu to make my decision. 👍 The creation process was quick and the lady mixed the salad for me which I appreciated.

Atmosphere: inside has an artsy green vibe to it, but it’s very dry and bland when inside. Not a lot of people. Take it how you want. The AC was good and crispy. I do wish there was music. It’s a small detail but I was bored eating my...
