UPDATE: Today 9/21/24 we had heard they changed things up so we decided to take Mom to go eat. We didn't have a great experience the last go but thought... why not try again. With the new look and "updated" menu... we hoped this could be great! We got there at about 7:35 pm. It took a moment for them to recognize we were there. It wasn't busy at all I counted about 6 tables and a few at the bar. We finally got to order our drinks. A Shirley Temple and a cherry pepsi. Neither tasted like there was cherry in them. We told the server and she did get more grenadine to resolve the issue. We did take a while to order (that's on us) because we couldn't decide. We finally ordered around 8:05 pm. We ordered onion rings for a appetizer & got that fairly quickly. Tasted wonderful. Off to a good start... Our order was a peanut butter bacon burger, a bacon cheeseburger, shrimp and grits and a small salad for our girl. While waiting, woo whoo Karaoke night. (Fun) Buuuuut It became so loud we couldn't even talk to one another without yelling. Ok I get it... it's Karaoke it's going to be somewhat loud. But way to many sloshed humans (6 tables worth) screaming in between made it highly unenjoyable. During our wait for our food, our drinks which were dying to be refilled just kept dying and didn't get refilled. Finally at about 8:45 our drinks get refilled. Still no food though! Again we ordered at 8:05. At 9 pm mom is frustrated. (Which almost never happens. Super patient woman). 9:05 she asks the server where our food is. Server says it's coming right out. Now this is after I have watched ppl come in & sit down after us and get their food before us.
Okay!!! Now the food! Oh laudy here we go..! Our burgers (both) where above charbroiled. More like charred (as in burnt) Parched, scalded, scorched, seared, singed, whatever word best describes charcoal. The shrimp was good but the grits... Well that was pure butter. From the south here and those grits needed mad love. The garlic Parm fries were delish. Just the right amount of garlic and Parm.🤌🏻 We then asked for refills and she forgot us AGAIN. When we did remind her I got a diet drink not a cherry pepsi. My daughter got a sprite not a Shirley Temple. At this point we just felt highly defeated. We did say something each time but it seemed to not matter. We were not able to finish the food unfortunately. With the new name and reboot maybe the staff needs a update. Seems their idea of timely is not the same as the actual definition. What is genuinely sad is we had serious hopes for this visit. We were super excited to try it again. We hoped our last visit was a fluke. It wasn't (insert sad face here) We unfortunately cannot recommend it.
ORIGINAL REVIEW! There food has suffered from the pandemic. We used to go just for the onion rings. Last night we decided to go and they had OBVIOUSLY changed their onion rings to hockey pucks. My goodness they were rock hard. Food was maybe ok but lacked flavor. The oil they were using was either extremely old... Or their cook burned...

We enjoyed the outdoor seating. It was a little warm but they offered a bowl of water for my dog and we found a spot in the shade. I ordered the hang over burger off their breakfast menu. It was messy, thankful for the extra napkins our server brought out with the food. The meal was good. The seasoning was there. I did order my burger medium rare and it came out well! Other than the meat being terribly over cooked the rest of the food was good. I also ordered a side of the house made gravy as the server said it was very good. I really enjoyed the sausage gravy to dip my home cooked potatoes in. The best heavy I have had in awhile. Service was fine. I do wish they would service the outside especially considering the place was completely empty other than a few seemingly regular bar flys sitting at the bar. Everyone was nice, staff and customers a like just wish I had a server come out to offer another beverage to combat the heat! Atmosphere, from what I could tell was nice. Very large space inside. Very empty and very large. The outside seating was limited to 2 small tables. I understand there may be more in the back? The front was littered with cigarette butts and a fan or misters oe music or water or service would have been great but perfectly acceptable for what it...
Read moreTo go order for Michelle and Calli, 6.24.25. Gal on the phone was great. Temp of food good. Steak Bites...too small for an entree, no seasoning. Red meat always needs at least salt. Seemed like there were mild or bland spices. 6 pieces is an an app not an entree. It was tender. That's best I can say.
Grits, are supposed to be creamy. While they tasted OK they were NOT creamy, almost gelatinous texture. Underwhelming at best.
OK so Cuban sandwiches are supposed to be pressed and crunchy. Which we asked about when we questioned a hoagie roll as the bread of choice. Gal said it was. However it was toasted on one side not pressed. The ham was a think Chuck off a press ham loaf ... which is fine but it needed to be thin slices. The shredded beef was again under seasoned. For reportedly self smoked meat...it was well not. If you leave it as is...rebrand it as anything else.
The tots, over salted, well cooked, over salted. (And i dont mind a little ovet salty on tots). Customers can add salt, they can't take it away.
I have to conclude that your great reviews are from regular customers of your bar who have a dead palet. It wasn't just one thing. It was everything. We requested a refund but I'll doubt we'll get. Of note, a lady outside when Calli walk in said if we were looking for a place to eat the Chinese place across the street was good. Guess that was to...
