I went to college with a Chinese roommate in the bay area. He prided himself on knowing the best Chinese restaurants. I tagged along many times to the best he could offer. New Chinese Cuisine in Forest Grove matches or exceeds anything we ate over those years. If he ever visits this would be the only restaurant I would bring him to.

People always mention supporting small businesses as if there is a downside or you are doing extra to avoid a chain. Well here is a small business that can be supported with no downsides. Their food is fresh, excellent, and abundant. Family owned with excellent service. Feng, the wonderful lady running the place, has an amazing memory. By my third visit she knew my name even on phone orders. By now I have been ordering weekly and as of this review I am over 25 out of 25 visits all deserving a 5 star rating. It felt wrong to not to add a well deserved glowing review of this hidden gem. This family run Chinese restaurant deserves to be found. Forest Grove, and Pacific University need to understand that New Chinese Cuisine is not just "good food for Forest Grove", or "good food for Portland". It is "good food". Period.

As of writing, due to Covid they are take-out only. Prices are borderline ridiculous. 75% the price of fast food meals for 10x the quality and 2x the food. They should charge more....

New Chinese Cuisine is my neighborhood restaurant which stands out not just for its delicious food, but for the exceptional customer service that makes every visit feel special. I adore the staff who can recognize my voice over the phone and greet me by name when I place an order. That level of attentiveness is rare and speaks volumes about their commitment to building relationships with customers.

Every time I call, they listen to my requests with genuine care, always willing to customize my dish exactly how I like it. This was especially evident when I was exploring a vegan lifestyle; the team accommodated my dietary preferences effortlessly. They went out of their way to ensure I had flavorful options that made my transition enjoyable, showcasing their versatility and dedication to customer satisfaction.

The atmosphere at New Chinese Cuisine is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual takeout and dining in. From their beautifully prepared dishes to their willingness to accommodate special requests, they have won my loyalty and admiration. This place will always have a special place in my heart. If you’re looking for a Chinese restaurant that prioritizes both excellent food and outstanding service, I highly recommend visiting New Chinese Cuisine. You won’t be...

I am regretfully changing my previous 5 star ratings. Unfortunately our Christmas Eve order left us with empty stomachs. We knew to plan 3+ hours ahead with our order and were prepared to be patient. However, being told our order would be ready at a certain time, showing up paying and then being told 45 more minutes- no problem we will hang out and visit. More than 2 hours later, in our 3rd time checking in at times we were told. I heard them discussion to tell us 20 more minutes. However, when I asked if our food had even been started the answer was no. With a diabetic waiting already more than 2 hours past the expected eating time and having a low glucose issue we got a refund and went home to cook our own dinner. I think the moral of this story is to please be honest about the amount of time it will take - we would have waited! Plus, being honest when you have too many orders is important...

Owner's name is Phang. She is absolutely awesome!!! OMG!! good chinese finally came back to FG. hallelujah! favorites: bbq pork fried rice, some of the best tasting garlic chicken i've ever had, the cashew chicken and subgum almond chicken (on one of the last 2 get the brown sauce). they're awesome about ixnaying items (like the onions i'm allergic to & despise) and offer substitutions (to replace those nasty onions). the woman (sorry i don't recall your name) is an absolute doll and always friendly & helpful, even seeming to enjoy my sister's & my comedy act as we tried to give her our order the other night.

The food is addicting and delicious. I've already had the Kung Pao chicken, Mongolian Beef, and multiple orders of the Broccoli chicken. The Mongolian Beef really is spicy which I enjoy. The pork fried rice is so fresh, egg roll so crunchy. I've tried 3 lunch specials as well as an order with steamed rice they provide in cartons. They double bag everything, give you all the utensils, soy sauce, sweet and sour sauce, napkins. Always a nice warm setting to come in and pick up your order. Courteous and professional staff, quality Chinese food I can't say enough will be consistently going back for more.

One of the mediocre Chinese places I have ever tasted, most of the food that we ordered was not upto the mark. After the great reviews posted about this place, went in for dinner with friends and none of us liked it at all. We got Egg Drop soup, Spring Rolls, Curry style Curry Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice and Vegetable Lo mein and asked for Spicy, only to realize we got some red color powder mixed in everything. It didn't have flavour and was tasteless. Vegetable Lo Mein was not eatable at all. I would avoid coming here in the future and would advice people to watch out on this one.
