We walked in and immediately I was excited because THIS IS AUTHENTIC Mexican food. The smell, sight, and sound all matched! Up front you've got booths for sitting and eating privately with your group. The back (where you order!) is set up cafeteria style so solo diners can get their food, eat it, and get back to work quickly! This place does it right! We ordered off the big full color menu board (it's bigger in real life!!),and proceeded to settle into the closest open booth. Within moments of settling in, we've got chips and salsa... Drinks were closely followed! Let's start with chips and salsa... The chips were clearly freshly fried as they still had the faintest of sizzle on them, the warm oil, and the obvious smell of fresh fried tortillas. Huge bonus points!! However, some chips were not totally fried and they were still a little chewy so too many chips are being fried at once... Cut it back a little bit. Also our chips didn't seem to have any salt! The salsa... Perfection. Chunky enough, liquid enough, spice enough...quantity not enough! It was sooooo good! There's a spice in there that kicks it up a notch... A little extra cumin? Whatever, it works! The margaritas arrived. They look typical Mexican restaurant margarita. One swizzle and a sip later says otherwise!! First off, I love lime... This wedge in my glass was sooo fresh and juicy. So huge points for GOOD FRESH LIMES!! KEEP THAT UP!!!!! Margaritas not too weak, not so strong you can't enjoy, they were perfect. Then the food came. I don't think I've ever seen a burrito this big. I didn't know they made tortillas this big to make burritos this big!!..... It's big... The picture does not do justice on how BIG it really is. It was delicious. I ate 98% of it (and was still full half way into the next day!!)! HOW...EVER!.... Praises be told, the food has room to improve. Overall the food lacked SALT to enhance supporting flavors. Don't be afraid of salt! Explore some ancient Abuela recipes and kick it up a notch, the white folk can handle it!! I've read passed reviews and see it's changed ownership fairly recently, so I hope they listen to their customers. Keeps the live music! We had two different sets of entertainment! That was awesome!!! I only got info for the second, but the first guy was pretty great for old style country music. The second set was more mix of contemporary country and modern works BUT they were reworked for their specific vocal range and style and it was awesome! Jordan was super friendly around the floor AND can sing and Lydia had the voice of an Angel (I'm an Atheist/Satanist so that a major compliment). I can't wait to eat here again! Also, don't put up a "kiss the cook" sign if you can't actually kiss the cook... Cuz he's hot too😊

We recently saw a Tik Tok showing some of the food and decided to give it a try. The menu online is nothing more than the name of the dish and a price. There is no description of what is actually in the food. We decided to just try it anyhow because it looked so good on Tik Tok. We ordered four burritos over the phone and picked them up to eat at home. One burrito was the California burrito which we ordered without sour cream or cheese for our vegetarian child. It had french fries, onions, cilantro and shredded lettuce - no rice or beans. It weighed half as much as the other burritos we got and cost just as much or more - not sure since we didn't get a receipt. The other burritos were just okay, but they at least had rice and beans.

We ordered an asada steak taco, which was small and flat, but delicious. We also bought a taco salad with ground beef, that was good and could probably be shared with 1 or 2 more people. We also ordered an asada nacho, which was definitely big enough for 4 people to share. I had the bean and cheese burrito, I was able to finish it. My son ordered a ground beef burrito, it was huge! He couldn't finish it. We also had churros. All the food was delicious, the family running the restaurant were nice and friendly. We took our food to go. There looks to be plenty of seats and there is an area with more seating with a stage for a live band. I would recommend this restaurant, be sure to be hungry when you get here.

First time stopping by here. The restaurant is located in downtown Forest Grove. My wife and I typically share a couple of dinners, with one of them containing beef, chicken, and shrimp. Sadly, they didn't have a dinner like this. So we opted for their carne asada plate, their pollo asada plate, and their "big momma" margarita.

I thought the food was good, but my wife was disappointed. She thought that both the pollo and carne asada wasn't cooked enough (she likes more well done than I do), but I thought they were both cooked fine. We both liked that they included the traditional roasted jalapeno on both dishes. Beans were so-so, but rice was good (in case people care).

The service was good. When we had our meal it was fairly slow and most tables were open. Food prep time was good. We didn't have to wait long.

Overall, the atmosphere was so-so. Pricing for everything was on the higher end for a Mexican restaurant. But that might be because of where they're located? Not sure.

So to summarize, food was good enough. Margarita was good. Service was good. Atmosphere was so-so. Pricing, a little spendy.

Would I come here again? Probably, but I'd probably hit up another Mexican place before visiting this one again. Still worth a try at least once if you...

We had the absolute worst Mexican food and margaritas we have ever experienced here. We went in for just a light meal. We both ordered a couple of tacos each. My wife asked for a glass of white wine...but they said they had run out...so we both ordered margaritas, which came immediately. But after that everything went downhill. The margaritas seemed OK, but we could not taste or tell if they had any alcohol in them. We never received any chips and salsa, and it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. One of my tacos was cold, and one of my wife's was the same. Mine tasted OK, but one of her's had stringy and tough meat in it. And when we looked at our bill, we were quite surprised. The prices that were posted at the counter when we ordered, did not match the prices were were asked to pay. On top of that we were charged $14 for each margarita....which seemed outrageous for the drinks we...
