If you happen to drive through Forest Grove, OR, either on your way to Portland or from Portland to the ocean, you really need to stop at Scottie's Drive-in for a burger. Avoid the fish and chips (fish is not good!) and stick with the burgers. I ordered a regular (meaning one patty) bacon cheeseburger that came with everything; lettuce, tomato, onions, etc. It was the BEST burger that I've had in years! It is cooked to order, so you have to wait about 10 minutes or so, but well worth it! What I liked best was the bacon as it was well cooked (no chewy undercooked fat) and plenty of it, not just two tiny pieces. I would have given the food 5 stars but the fries were too salty to eat. Next time I go, I'm going to try their fish and chips and ask for no salt and see if they can accommodate. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was not so great. There's old red and white checkered valances for curtains and nothing really worthy of looking at on the walls. Some newer 1950's decor would really help the atmosphere instead of a few faded out pictures of a few classic cars. It could also stand a top to bottom cleaning, but the tables were clean. The parking was tight and you had to fit your vehicles between cement posts and there were only about a half dozen spaces or so. Altogether, we ordered my regular cheeseburger, my son's double cheeseburger and double fries (a huge amount), my daughter-in-law's regular burger, chili fries (another huge amount) with two drinks, and it came to $40.00....

Take your taste buds on a trip down memory lane. To a time when people were simple and so was the food. Traverse the flavoric ethereal realm to the Golden Age. One bite and youll have visions of sock hops and Walter Cronkite. Your grandparents take a bite and their High School sweethearts resurrected through flavor, and the time they smacked lips with there first true taste of American spirit. There are spots to pull up and Park while you eat. Every time I've been there I've never had anyone come to the car. You go inside or to the outside window to order. I was there during lunch every time so maybe at night they do it old school like that. I would definitely recommend this establishment to any and all. You know when you're sitting at home and everyone's trying to decide what sounds good for dinner? Everyone's pitching in with names of different fast food restaurants you're all tired of hearing. Well next time throw the name Scottie's into the mix!!! And if you're going please grab me a milkshake, it's about the purest form of milkshake you can buy with your hard earned green backs west of the Mississippi. I %99.999 promise you'll not be...

This place nails what a family drive in should be. If you love traveling then you’ve stopped at a few of this along the way. Many are passible to poor because they are the only game in town. Then there are those that are passionate about what they do. Scottie’s is one of these.

The employees clearly enjoy working here and it shows in the service. The burgers are exceptional and I don’t know what cheese they use, they wouldn’t say, but it elevate these perfectly greasy, perfectly seasoned patties. The shakes and malts are fantastic. If I were to say anything negative, they should probably change the oil more frequently. But beside that don’t let that discourage you. Scottie’s is worth going out of your way for.

UPDATE: I’m sad to say they’ve been cutting corners. The food is still good, but just good not great like it used to be. The fries have tasted of fish more than once and have received very burnt rings more than once. What happened? You would think the decreased traffic would clue them in. I’ll keep going because I believe in this place, but not as often. Hopefully they can get it...

A decent drive in, not far from Pacific University in Forest Grove. Prices are pretty on par with similar, family-owned restraints of this type. Also, if you’re a Pacific student, you get a 10% discount here (just present student ID). Scottie’s Drive In offers an assortment of burgers, hot dogs, chicken (roasted, wings, and strips), sandwiches, and an assortment of sides (fries, tots, onion rings, etc.). For those who prefer surf rather than turf, or want to go more international, Scottie’s also has seafood and Mexican cuisine. And do try the ice cream and shakes. The only issues I had were that the fries are always a bit overdone, leaving a burnt aftertaste. Further, for a hamburger, I would want a little more meat than what is presented.

Very good experience here. This is what you would call a hole in the wall place, you would have to run into it to know where it is. Has a 50’ ish style and feel to it. Lots of diner 59’s car pics inside. The help was awesome think it was Jade not sure of the name but a very pleasant younger girl who really cares about what she does and cared about our meal. Food was ok decent burger and fries. Very few burger places offer chili and this place does. Very dated inside but I’m sure they keep it as clean as they can. We will visit again. I have a feeling the owner loves classic cars hope to find out if so. It’s worth dropping in for a burger and shake to visit back in time.

Going here is like taking a step back in time. It's magical anf lovely. The deco looks old school. The employees feel like teens from the 90s working a summer job. But they were so attentive and nice. I loved hearing them laugh and have fun as they worked. So often places are so incredibly understaffed that the employees always look stressed. Not here! The food was great. The ice tea was perfectly brewed. Not too bitter. The fries were cooked perfect. The garlic bread reminded me of dairy queens old Texas toast and the burger was *perfect* ratios. I also love the old school parking. Everything about this place made my day.
