The Growler Garage — Restaurant in Forest Grove

Only thing good about this place is the beer selection. From previous experience I knew food was average at best. Website clearly says bringing your own food is encouraged with a picture of Forest Grove location. I was meeting a couple there and we all got food to bring with us. When we arrived we were told it's not allowed and to take our food out. The Owner proceeded to make excuses saying it was never the case that food could be brought in. When I pulled out my phone with the web page contradicting him his excuse was " well it was an option at another location long ago". No accommodation made or offered for the inconvenience and cold lunch I would get to eat later. Will not return, with beer selection being the ONLY good thing, poor service and lackluster...

My husband and I have gone here just about every week for our date night since they opened and we love it! Forest Grove's got a lot of new places to eat and drink but we think Growler Garage is the best by a mile, especially for the prices.

I appreciate that they've got a solid variety of beverages. IPAs are obviously super popular right now but they've got more than just token ambers, porters, stouts, CBD drinks, etc., for those of us that are hop wimps. The sandwiches are fire! Personally, I like their Herbivore and Reuben, my husband likes the 'Merica. Always, always, a great experience! Food is good. Beer is good. But the best part are the people behind the bar. Always attentive, hardworking and eager to help. You couldn't ask for a better place to relax and enjoy yourself with locals and friends. And now, New Ownership!! Jarod and Jill have purchased the Growler Garage and are continuing the awesome local vibe and experience we have all grown to expect and love. I, for one, am happy to see this transistion and can't wait to see the future evolution of this treasured spot in the Grove.
