Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Forest Park

Way back when, I had ripped this place on Urban Spoon, which is now Zomato. I heard management had changed a while back so I tried this location again, then updated my Zomato review from Bad to Daaayam, they good!

Here's the deal. Since management switched at this place a while ago, I have had no issues with my carryout orders. In fact, the service and the food are just as good, if not better, than way back in the mid 90's when I had them deliver vs. carryout.

More knowledge. Do your orders over the internet via browser or use the app. This is quicker and easier plus you get points toward free food. If you live within 5 mins or so of this location, do a carryout vs. a delivery. You'll get your food faster. If you've never worked pizza before, you have no idea what it's like to deliver 4, 5, or even 6 orders on one trip. It takes time. When the lunch or dinner slam hits, it's a crazy you don't know unless you've done this before. Trust me, it's not like people in the pizza business try to be slow on purpose. Back in the mid 90s when I did delivery all the time, it would sometimes take 45 mins to an hour for the pizza to show up, that's just the nature of the beast.

So, order from these folks here at Forest Park, get a carryout order, the food is good, if they mess up and you handle it like a mature adult and don't jump up and down like an entitled moron, they'll fix it....

Having worked in retail/service industry I am always quick to give a business the benefit of the doubt but I feel I must share my most recent experience with this Papa John's store. My family and I order pizza's from this store on a weekday afternoon. After about 45 minutes we called the store inquiring about our order. The person who answered said simply that they were short drivers and that he could not say when our order would arrive. An hour later our pizza arrived and was cold. I feel that knowing the circumstances the person who answered our call should have either offered the pizzas as well as a full refund or the option for us to cancel our order. Had we known it would have taken an hour and 45 minutes we would have either ordered from a different Papa John's or from another pizza place. I've emailed their customer service department seeking a refund but have not heard anything back. We won't be ordering from this store again and will honestly think twice about ordering from Papa John's in general in the future. I would not recommend ordering from...

Took 45 mins for a TAKE OUT order because they did not bother to actually check my order for accuracy so I waited 15 additional minutes for wings that were NOT the flavor I ordered because they didn’t have my order ready within the time frame I was promised, then waited another 15 mins to get the correct wings. I feel like they could’ve used that time while they were sitting around waiting on my WRONG wings, to maybe, idk, take a second to make sure they were making the right thing?! meanwhile the people there were EXTREMELY rude throughout the entire process. And actually yelled at me because I asked where my wings were when they had told me they’d be ready in 2 mins, and then apparently had the audacity to ask where they were 10 mins AFTER he said it’d be “2 minutes.” Heaven forbid I want to get home and eat after working all day. I would avoid going there if you want to have any kind of a pleasant experience because...
