I for one am so glad CAVA replaced Zoe's Kitchen. CAVA is a fresh take on mediterranean cuisine, much like a fast dining casual restaurant. The food is prepared fresh, with locally sourced ingredients - score for the community - and plated to your needs. There was quite a bit of wait which I'm assuming is due to the 6ft social distancing policy, which is great, and also since its a new place, they're still trying to figure out the most efficient way to speed things up. They have an option between salad bowl, grain bowl or a 50-50 option. I did the grain bowl and boy was it good. The saffron basmati rice is excellent. The brown basmati rice was pretty good too. They give you a complimentary pita, which was delicious although I'm assuming this is only for a limited time. You get to pick 3 sauces - the best ones are the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, the Tzatziki and the Harissa (if you can handle spice). As for the protein, here's a pro-tip, pay the extra dollar and pick the Braised Lamb (you'll thank me later). This is the best stuff. The vegetable toppings and sauces are unlimited. They have a nice spread to choose from and you'll not be disappointed. Grab a Mexican Cola (regular cola with spices) or a Ginger Beer to chase your food. The Ginger Beer is a personal favorite. It is one of a kind. The service was exceptional. Friendly staff and great food. The ambiance was fantastic as well. Overall, an excellent place. 5 stars. Hand sanitizers are provided. Masks required and social distancing enforced.

OUTSTANDING! The food, the service, the staff. I was looking for a place to have lunch while waiting for my phone at the nearby TMobile store. Burgers, tacos, and having to get back in the car we're not appealing to me on this sunny and warm day in late January in Ft. Collins. Lo and behold, there was CAVA right in front of me. On first inspection, it looked too healthy for me, but with the help of a very patient employee, I had a pita loaded up and added some delicious tea for my drink. I went outside into the sunny and warm day, found a table and amazed myself with my delicious feast. I shall be returning again, today, with my lovely wife to share this experience once again. To say the least, I highly recommend CAVA on South College St., in Ft. Collins, Co!!

As a longtime enthusiast of CAVA, my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. This evening at 8:00 PM, I was looking forward to enjoying a meticulously chosen Greens + Grains Bowl. However, what I received was utterly unacceptable. The cabbage in the salad was marred with black spots, and its cutting and shape were deplorably handled, as clearly evident in the attached picture. I tried to overlook these glaring flaws, but it was impossible to ignore, especially after my spouse also expressed concern. We ended up not eating it at all. The presence of black spots and the shockingly poor preparation are inexcusable. CAVA, I expected so much better from you. This experience has significantly diminished my opinion of your standards.

UPDATE August 20, 2021... Dropped to 1star because...We order from Cava often and almost as often their are glitches between staff, attentiveness, product supply and poor timing for orders. Tonight was no exception. We were on the far northwest part of town before 7pm thinking "we should order Cava now so by the time we drive to the location it will be ready!" We used the app and ordered 5 different meals. The app said ready at 7:15pm. We arrived on time but our order was no ready. I went in and was asked for the name on the order. At 7:21pm I was told "we're just starting your order." This has happened before. It may be helpful to use a system that accurately provides useful information. We waited another 10 minutes and took our order home. Mine was the Chicken Right Rice subbed with lamb. I got the same thing a few nights earlier and also on a previous order. At home I opened my dish to find not only was there barely any Right Rice but the pickled onions I selected were not included. I'm getting really tired of the lack of attention and service. Cava is losing me and my family's business.

UPDATE, July 13, 2021... I dropped from 3 to 2 stars on this update because we placed an order and the item went through incorrectly online and not only did it go through incorrectly but we ordered four items and the order was showing one. We then we called to ask about that situation and the woman on the phone said three or four times when asked about canceling the order which was placed just seconds earlier that she couldn't do it and every time we ask her another question she kept saying we can't do that, we can't do that. I think that working with any company, individual, small business who starts a conversation or answers a sentence with the words "I can't do that" is not going to last very long. When I finally arrived to pick up our order I sat in the car and the young man came out and said Andrew? and I said no that's not the name and he says oh oh sorry this is it. I don't know if the training is poor or the help is just bad. This is my previous review:Food was good. We did curbside pickup. I called when I parked in the designated spot and was told to wait a few minutes. A woman came out with a large bag. I asked her to place it in the trunk, which she did, shut the trunk and walked by saying "have a good night." I drove home and we found HALF our order was missing. We called and was told she forgot to bring it out. We had to drive back. This was not cool and half the 9 of us had no food. They offered nothing in the way of compensation for both the lost time and trouble. Very...

I do love the food at CAVA and have eaten there myself many times, however my experience today with trying to place a delivery order for 16 lunches for work was absolutely infuriating.

I had collected everyone's detailed orders in advance and wanted to place the delivery order the day before the meeting as I always do with other restaurants. I went to the Cava Fort Collins website to do that, but there was no way to schedule a delivery order for later. The web form said only ASAP delivery orders could be accepted. I called the store to inquire about it, and the person I spoke to who sounded like a manager said I should be able to schedule it up to two days ahead and told me people do it all the time, so I figured I must have missed something on the website. I went back to try again, but there was no way to do it. You could schedule in advance for pickup, but NOT for delivery.

So, during my meeting, I had to step out to enter the complex order which took about half an hour with a lot of "build-your-own" options using a clunky laptop offsite, then I put in my credit card info, and when I was about to hit submit, there was a message saying delivery orders over $200 could not be accepted and if it was over $200 the order had to be placed in the store! Our order was $325. Ridiculous!! At the very least, it should clearly state that on the website BEFORE you put in the time to enter your order. But even then, that is a lame policy! Guess they don't want our money,

I called the store to see if there was any way around that and was told that was a Door Dash thing (I was not on the Door Dash site, I was on the Cava site). I asked if I could place the order over the phone, and was told I could not. The only thing he could suggest was to re-do the order and split it into two orders, which of course would mean paying two delivery fees, not to mention all the additional time to enter it all again, so it would not have arrived in time.

Luckily our meeting was right next door to Crisp and Green, so we just went there. I will probably still go to Cava when it's just me, but never again will I try ordering delivery for a group. It was a completely frustrating, infuriating and...

First time visit, from a non-Mediterranean male. I'm about as Caucasian as they come so I had no idea what I was in for. Cava is a Mediterranean version of Subway or Chipotle type cafe where you create your meal from a variety of bases and toppings. There are only 4 'crafted' menu items but limitless options in front of you. Like many cafe's, there is an art to ordering correctly to get what you actually want.

Food was great (5-star). staff is hit-or-miss (3-star). The first guy to help me (with a great big hipster beard) was awesome at walking me through the menu and order process, and even suggested that I build my own to save a couple bucks (more on that below). When I went back to order more for take-home, the girl didn't appear to know the menu very well at all and clearly didn't care whether I liked what I got or not. Not helpful at all.

Word of advice: BUILD YOUR OWN BOWL. You get more free toppings, and it costs less than ordering the equivalent menu item. I literally read the menu bowl I wanted, then had the guy "build" it one ingredient at a time. I got exactly what was on the menu, but with more toppings and it was $1.50 less. NOTE: different menu items have different proportions of greens and grains, so if you like mostly rice, ask for it, don't just take what they give you. Example: the lamb nachos have 2 scoops of greens and one scoop of rice; the chicken bowl has 2 scoops of rice and one scoop of greens. Of course, if you build your own, you get whatever you ask for.

I will...
