This used to be the greatest hole in the wall downtown. This one over here though? Wait until you read this...
The girl grabs me two slices, that come out stiff. Clearly fresh 🍕 pizza grabbed by the crust would have some bend to it. I looked at the old looking pieces and decided to try a bite fresh out the "oven."
Should've burned my tongue only to find out was barely room temperature. So the pepperoni being in the same container HAD also be luke warm. Talk about dangerous. Then when I called the guy to the counter he clearly said "yep that's definitely old Pizza!"
He then proceeded to look me directly in the eyes and tell me I don't know how to do it refund what do you want to do? So as he stood there and continue to repeat how he doesn't know how to give a refund pretending that he was pressing buttons, I asked him why don't you just give me my money back then if you can't figure out how to refund it.
He said no due to accounting he can't. So after wasting my time me standing there longer another guy walked in standing there trying to help him asked him the same thing I did, why don't you just give him the money.
This time however he just handed it to me. Even though he clearly told me he could not.
I wanted hot pizza but now I'm disgusted they're serving old Pizza, when people pay for hot food they should get that.
Plus you have a dude working the register who admits to now...
Read moreWe have visited Cozzola's many times over the years and I have to say that their pizza has always been great. But lately, each time we have visited the wait staff and cooks have been increasingly incompetent. We visited last Saturday at 3pm and there was nobody in the kitchen or out in the main dining area to help us. Four tables were covered with dirty plates. After five minutes, we yelled back into the kitchen area to hopefully get someone's attention and there was no response... Even though we could hear people talking and laughing towards the back of the kitchen. After that, we rang the bell on the counter, at which time a person that supposedly worked for Cozzola's wandered into the window. I said "I just wanted to be sure you knew we were out here." The "employee" at that time looked at me, shrugged and walked back to the furthest parts of the kitchen. We waited ten more minutes with no response. We went to Beau Jo's instead. Corolla's has always been a favorite of ours but this has been the second time such an incident has occurred, I'm not sure we will be back. That's a shame because, for 14 years, you have always been one of my favorite...
Read moreIt was OK pizza. The Traditional crust is dry and hard/crunchy on the bottom and bland. The crusts flavor actually reminds me of those small dried breadsticks. We didn't get the honey they offered for the crust because we aren't fans of sweets. The cheese is all but lost on the pizza because it's quite bland also but they cover it with some herb like dried basil which helps. The meats on the pizza were good but the bacon tastes like salt. We added garlic which we couldn't taste. The bell peppers were really inconsistent in texture... either super crunchy or soft like they had been previously cooked?
We wished we could have purchased just a slice but after 4pm you can't get slices. Staff was quite friendly and the pizza took some time to come out but a fresh pizza is better than a reheated one so we didnt mind the wait. The waitress explains the traditional crust is made same day but the herb crust is made in advance so it might be better for us who like some chew in the crust. I do recommend getting the optional honey for the crust because it might add flavor...
