The interior is stylishly designed with a mix of rustic and contemporary elements, creating a comfortable space to relax and enjoy your cider. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
Cider Selection: Locust Cider boasts an impressive selection of ciders, each with its own unique flavor profile. Whether you prefer something sweet, dry, or tart, there’s a cider for every palate. I particularly enjoyed their Imperial Pineapple Coconut and Honey Pear ciders, both of which offered a perfect balance of flavors. The flight option is a great way to sample multiple varieties and find your favorite.

Food Menu: One of THE standout features of Locust Cider is their fully gluten-free menu, making it a haven for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities. The kitchen is entirely celiac safe, offering peace of mind along with delicious food. Their menu is extensive, with a variety of options that cater to all tastes. I highly recommend trying their tacos, sandwiches, and loaded fries – some of the best in town. The flavors are vibrant, and the ingredients are fresh, complementing their ciders perfectly. I honestly can’t believe I went so long before trying their food!
Events and Community: One of the highlights of Locust Cider is their commitment to the local community. They regularly host events such as trivia nights, live music, and cider-making classes, creating a lively and engaging environment. It’s a great place to gather with friends, meet new people, and enjoy some entertainment.
Overall Experience: Overall, Locust Cider in Fort Collins is a must-visit for anyone in the area. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s worth stopping by to sample their delicious ciders and soak in the inviting atmosphere. I look forward to my next visit and highly recommend it to cider lovers and...
Read moreWhere to begin!? First of all and likely the best sign, upon walking in, I was met with sounds of laughter. A few of the staff, a customer or two, all socially distanced, yet just enjoying a beautiful Bronco game day, were laughing, in good spirits, and seemed to be having a blast. That kind of energy is fantastic and fits right in with the fun-loving individuals who typically frequent Old Town. As for cider, here goes: whether your palette calls for lighter, fruity flavors, or a more dense, full-bodied drink; tastes of vanilla, hibiscus, ginger, even blackberry sage (!?) await you at Locust. Try a growler if you're undecided-the options abound. I sampled the mojito (wow!) and ordered honey pear. It was beyond good. The effervescence and 'lift' was subtle and very smooth. Honey pear is "it" for me; I like a bit of sweetness, yet nothing too strong. My friend tried the raspberry (#13?) and went back for more. The food menu is very unique and creative, yet not overwhelming. I tried the winter squash salad with sliced almonds; it had an uncanny dressing and an almost indescribable flavor that was slightly smoked, earthy, with a hint of cheddar and... well, let's just say it was great. The merch is cool (t-shirts, hoodies) and again, staff couldn't be more friendly nor engaging to hang with. Bonus points for having the cool brick wall and just the right TV placement for sports fans. They absolutely followed all CoVid protocols in chill, natural ways that made customers seem at ease, even during these strange days. Feels like now is the time to go find your favorite cider flavor, because when word gets out, this place just might be Ft. Collin's new go-to haunt in Old Town. Please look at the website regarding the Swarm club, the name "Locust" and the extremely vital cause behind it all. I got curious and checked it out. I was (and am) inspired. 'Made me want to support this great tribe even more. I can't help it, I just have to say it: this "Cider House...
Read moreThis is an interesting review to leave because we ended up having a hectic time. We accidentally broke a dish, among other headaches that were our fault, not Locusts.
The service was fantastic. The bartender and servers were friendly, polite, and well deserving of a great tip.
The cider is great. A huge variety, and personally I HIGHLY recommend the blackberry cider. The cider is the high point, and if I could rate them on the service and cider alone I'd give them all 5s.
The food left quite a bit to be desired. I had their brunch once, which was fine. Nothing stand out about it, other than to say the fries with the carne asada were excellent.
The truffle fries were extremely tasty, but I got the wings this last time and I was extremely disappointed with them. They were very, very dry. Completely over cooked, and lacking in salt. The addition of the buffalo sauce helps, thankfully. The sauce was good, and the creole rub was good, but the wings themselves were hard to enjoy and absolutely not worth the high cost. ($60 before tip for 1 order of wings, 1 order of tacos, and an admittedly small plate of fries with 2 ciders.)
Overall, I recommend Locust, but only for their drinks, great service, and family-friendly environment. Pass...
