I took my son for his birthday at his request. On my reservation online, where they asked if it was for a special occasion, I noted it was for my son‘s birthday. We arrive to be seated in a corner, where apparently we escaped many of the wait staff’s view. When seated, the host asked if we were there for a special event, I noted again we were there for my son’s birthday. He asked if we would like to have them come around to sing to him, we established that we would like that. We then sat at our table for close to 10 minutes. Once our waitress came to take our drink orders and brought us our drinks, she checked on us once at the front end of our meal, and then we did not see her again until the end of our meal when she presented us with our check. So that this doesn’t sound like a one-sided review, I will say she was very nice during the small amount of interaction we had with her. The salad bar was good and very diverse. Best part of the food for sure. The meats were way over salted, some very fatty, some dry and overcooked. I finally had to stop another waitress later in the meal to ask her if we could please get our drinks refilled. Our dirty plates sat on the table for extended periods of time on a very small surface. The gentlemen who were bringing around the meat skewers were professional, but again I think because of where we were seated, didn’t see us. A different waitress took our dessert orders and mis-entered mine in their pos. She acknowledged the error and comped my dessert, but that really wasn’t the point - I did not get to eat dessert with my son on his birthday (his was warm and wouldn’t have been nearly as good as if he waited for mine to be resubmitted and brought out.) To top it all off, even though communicated in the online reservation and verbally when we arrived, no recognition that is was my sons birthday ever happened.
The women’s restroom was dirty. The trashcan was overflowing, and the floors were muddy. Overall, it was just a bummer. I had hoped to make it a special memory with my son. It was not that.
I notice in reading through other reviews now for this location that these very same concerns have been mentioned even as far as five months back. It makes me wonder why they have not been addressed? As they say, actions speak...
Read moreI was conflicted about what to rate this place as the wait staff and the food were both wonderful. However, our experience towards the end of the meal will make it unlikely that I'll ever come back.
I got together with some friends who wanted to do a nice meal. A couple of them are pretty budget-conscious, and one friend recommended Rodizio's brunch as it was cheaper than dinner.
We double checked the website and saw the brunch price posted. When we got to the restaurant there was no sign posted about a change in price, and our server also did not let us know. It wasn't until we got our checks that we saw they charged us the amount for the full dinner. Figuring this must have been a mistake, we asked our server about it. She said the prices were inflated for Valentine's day, which was bizarre because we went there the week after Valentine's!
My friend asked to speak to the manager, who said that the server should have let us know about the price change but that we would still be expected to pay the inflated price. My friend said that they needed to honor the price that was advertised, and that not letting the customer know of a 15% increase in any way was on them. The manager was speaking so loudly that it bordered on yelling, and her tone was very confrontational, even though my friend was speaking at a normal volume. All the other tables were staring and it was embarrassing, and I'm sure it was a disruption to their meal as well. The manager took no accountability, blaming corporate for not changing the price on the website, and blaming the server for not telling us. It's her location and she should have had the pricing change posted.
It wasn't until my friend threatened to call corporate that she honored the posted price. My friend paid with a gift card, and there was enough left on it for a 20% tip. The manager asked her to pay more for her tip and when she refused she said "So you only want to tip with what's on the gift card?" This was again said very loudly, in an effort to embarrass her more.
Seeing as this friend of ours is from Brazil, she is very connected to the local Brazilian community and her experience has likely lost them a lot of business. It's a shame, since the food really...
Read moreI had an amazing experience the first time in 2021 New Years seating but this time New Years 2023...things were different. First off the pacing was bad. Rushed out with the inferior stuff and a lot of "last piece" treatment. Had to leave some overcooked stuff on the plate. Temps were kind off in general. Gristly and overcooked NY Strip. Ham was very sparingly served as well as the Picanha. Brandonomics Cheap. Seems like the temps were high so the med rare wasn't wall to wall, it got super rare toward the end on some but then overcooked on others. Gauchos (Gringos from the college) are now on turbo setting. Both moves and speaking. HOWEVER, they won't do anything if/when meat hits the floor, they leave it there. It puts me off the relaxed experience. In 2 years, way more gristle. Pretty sure the meat quality went down to keep pricing steady. The salad bar had zero meats or cheeses like it should. Overall its still a good value and I'm going to go back again non holiday to see if it was a fluke. That first experience was perfect. The bacon wrapped dates were also mush, falling off the skewer with flabby fatty bacon the 2nd go around. The overweight, deer in headlights manager the night of New Years 2023 was ineffectual at best. Underdressed as well for the position.
Also I'm sick of table 41. Freeze on the windows in the back of the bus part of the building getting the scraps. I definitely don't feel like I got everything.
The white gauchos are the worst. I asked one for a new plate and he had the gall to say "there's a plate right there". meaning the small one with the bread and yucca sticks on it. You don't argue with the clientele "El Brian" just do your job. Its the white kid who kind of looks like Scott Cahn, wannebe weight lifter physique and vapid expression on his white bread face lol. What a jerk, hope to see him next time. IM asking for a new plate every...
