Schneider's Schnitzel Service — Restaurant in Fort Collins

This is my new favorite spot in Old Town! Literally, everything is made in-house... even the mayonnaise. The cheddar brat is so delicious that my mouth is watering right now, just thinking about it. I can't possibly say enough good things about this place. The owners are fantastic and are actually the same people who owned Moe's BBQ at the same location. They have a great back patio if you want a quieter spot to dine, or you can sit out front and enjoy great people watching. I'd suggest the sampler plate. You get to try 2 meats, 2 sides, and all 3 of the mustards they make. It's plenty for a couple of people to fill up on! They serve beer and wine and run specials on the weekend! ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: I think for the price of the Schnitzel plate you should get a scoop of potato salad AND red cabbage, or give customers a choice of their sides, but give two smaller sides and save the mustard's for the sausages. Get together with The Bread Chic Bakery and start selling her German Pretzels which would pare well with your mustards. The staff was friendly. We were greeted right away and she came back to check on us. The potato salad needs some work. I thought the salad would be more like the bacon, onion and vinegar one I had in Germany. We were really excited for some good German food to hit Fort Collins. The schnitzel was decent, I had the chicken and my mom had the pork. The schnitzel comes with one side and mustard (which doesn't pair with schnitzel, maybe for sausage).

We tried the potato salad and red cabbage but because I make the red cabbage myself, I'm hard to please.

The potato salad was large chunks of potatoes not really incorporated into the dressing (my guess is the dressing isn't added when the potatoes are warm).

The cabbage lacked flavor (didn't taste apples or spices).
