A Disappointing and Frustrating Experience at Honey Baked Ham (Fort Collins Location)
I wish I could rate zero stars! We had a terrible experience with Honey Baked Ham this Easter, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone else. We placed an order online well in advance and paid for it — only to show up at the Fort Collins location and be told they couldn’t locate our order in their system. Instead of working with us to resolve the issue, they charged us again, resulting in us paying over $60 more than we should have for one ham. (So in total we have paid $165 for ONE ten pound ham).
We were told to “wait 2–3 business days” for the duplicate charge to possibly drop off. It didn’t. We called corporate, and they were slow and ineffective at following up. Eventually, we managed to reach the store manager directly — and that’s when things somehow got worse.
The manager has been incredibly unprofessional and downright disrespectful. He yelled at my husband over the phone, accused us of purchasing two hams (which we absolutely did not), and refused to look at the store’s video footage to confirm what actually happened. We even sent over our credit card receipts showing the double charge, yet he continues to call us liars and insists this is somehow our fault.
We’re still trying to resolve this and contact coporate again, but the lack of accountability, customer service, and basic respect we’ve received is appalling. I genuinely hope no one else has to go through what we’ve experienced. If you’re thinking about ordering from Honey Baked Ham — especially the Fort Collins location — please...
Read moreI dined in at the Honey Baked Ham Company for the first time last week. I got the Ham Classic sandwich, with just ham and cheddar cheese, no mayo, lettuce or tomato. The gentleman making my sandwich asked if I wanted to double up on the meat and cheese, which was a nice surprise. I was also looking forward to trying the Ham and Bean soup, but they were out of it. Because of this, they didn't charge me for a bottle of sweet tea and bag of potato chips. Having worked at country clubs for 7 years, I can say that this location provided exceptional customer service. I completed the customer service survey on my receipt which gave me a buy one sandwich get one free coupon on my next visit within 2 weeks. I love the dated look of the interior. That's not a knock, as it brings back memories of childhood in the 1990s. The food I had was delicious, and I can't wait to come back, as ham is one of my favorite foods. Even though there are only a handful of tables for dining in, the option to do so is absolutely fantastic! I hate feeling rushed in places that have no...
Read moreToday I went to pick up a ham and some sides for Christmas. I also grabbed a pre-made sandwich for my son to eat before work. I walked through and chose my sides. A lady at the counter brought me a bonless 1/2 ham, as I requested but then she unwrapped it on the counter I thought it was odd and I definitely would have preferred her not unwrap it but it wasn't a huge deal. Everyone was super nice. I checked out and went home. When I got home, I gave my son his sandwich. About 1/4 into the sandwich, he pull a long brown hair out of his mouth. I immediately thought back to the lady that opened my ham, her hair was down, she had no gloves and her apron was dirty. I try not to be germaphobic but when I let my guard down, my son ends up with a mouth full of some stranger's hair. I know it happens but there are precautions that help reduce contamination. Now I have this whole meal for Christmas. I know it will be perfectly fine but I also know I'll be thinking of that hair lol. I did call Honey Baked Ham to let them know.... and I declined the...
