The Human Bean — Restaurant in Fort Collins

I have been going there once a week for a few months, bringing an elderly friend I drive to a weekly appointment. After today's exceptional experience I felt I had to write a review and let everyone know how great this place is. It's become our tradition to go to The Human Bean after his appointment every week. Today he was unable to go to the appointment after falling yesterday. I stopped in anyway to bring him a coffee, and the barista noticed that I didn't have my friend. I mentioned he had fallen and wasn't doing well. She asked me to tell him he's in their thoughts, and when she brought our drinks she said they were on them! Too kind and thoughtful of them!! On top of it they wrote "feel better" on a sticker and put it on his lid. Just want to let everyone know about the great people you can expect when...

Very disappointed in My most recent experience. I was forced to leave without even getting a coffee. I waited for five minutes in the middle of a busy road just to get into the entrance while I watched five other cars cut in front of me.

Once in the entrance I then drove around to the back hoping to get into the secondary line only to not be let in by any other customers. So out of frustration after waiting around for 20 minutes I decided to leave the parking lot and I watched as all the other customers waved and laughed as I drove away without getting any coffee.

Very disappointed in the system that they use to get people through the drive-through, and extremely disappointed in our fellow Americans who think that they can just laugh about a mother in a minivan who just dropped her kids off from school and now does not get to get her favorite coffee even though it added an extra 10 minutes on my morning route.

I personally think the Human Bean and Dazbog have the best coffee in town, but Human Bean is more convenient thanks to their two drive-up locations. They have a great selection of coffee drinks, teas and snacks. The coffee is very good (better than Starbucks), and I've had coffee at many different places around town. Just be prepared for a possible line during peak hours (about 7:30am - 10:30am). However, the staff try very hard to get people through quickly. They frequently run outside and take orders from people who are 3-4 cars back so they can have the drinks ready when you get to the window. The staff are all very friendly. We've had a few mistakes with our drink orders in the past, but it's very uncommon. (We go here several times a week). The staff at the north location seem to be a little more organized than at the south location, but I'm guessing the south store is also busier.
