I recently visited the Poudre River Whitewater Park, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations! Nestled alongside the picturesque Poudre River, this park offers a delightful blend of natural beauty and adrenaline-pumping excitement.

First and foremost, the location is simply breathtaking. As I walked along the riverbank, the tranquil sound of rushing water and the stunning views of the surrounding mountains made me feel instantly at peace. The park's well-maintained pathways provided easy access to various vantage points, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the calming ambiance of the river.

Even though the water level was quite high during my visit, I could envision how the Poudre River Whitewater Park would be an excellent spot to relax and dip your feet on a normal day. The inviting riverbanks beckon visitors to take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life, kick off their shoes, and let the cool water soothe their weary feet. I can imagine the sheer joy and relaxation one must experience during calmer times.

While I didn't personally partake in any whitewater activities on this occasion, observing the kayakers navigating the rapids filled me with a sense of awe and wonder. Of course I love coming to the park! I usually park off of Cherry (across from Dazbog) at Lee Martinez Park and take the trail by the Discovery Museum until it reaches the Poudre Trail system, take a right onto the Poudre Trail. You'll walk under the train tracks and College Avenue, right next to the Poudre River and the new Whitewater Park! It's stunning to see if you have not had the chance to walk the Poudre Trail lately. It's a beautiful trip (walking, biking,etc...) through Old Town Fort Collins and it's new multi-million dollar apartments now overlooking the River!!! This belongs on one of Fort Collins...

RECREATORS: This is an amazing pace to hang out on the riverside and safely go for a swim. KAYAKERS: Yay! So happy you have a local spot and don't have to drive up the canyon.
