China Lite Restaurant — Restaurant in Fort Gratiot Charter Township

We started with the won ton soup which was delicious and fresh. The freshly cut shallots added a tasty texture to the soup. The egg roll were probably the best egg rolls I’ve ever had. Crunchy on the outside and inside… That spice or combination they use was so flavorful. The chicken fried rice was perfect. And finally the sweet and sour chicken, wow, just wow. It was not your typical chicken balls, it was a nice chunk or real chicken with thin crunchy layer of batter. We were served fast. The authentic Chinese server had a hard time expressing herself in English, and had an incredulous expression but it was actually humorous. The atmosphere was interesting, the loud music from the bar next door spilled into the restaurant every time the door was open. But in the restaurant there was light music playing on their PA system. Oddly, They chose modern country as atmospheric music, which happened to be my favorite music style.

I did not give it 5 stars because we were hoping for a buffet but it was all à la carte.

Worst Chinese food by far in Port Huron area. Was served this concoction they called Mongolian beef which was nothing like the traditional version most are accustomed to.

It had mushrooms, bell peppers, Water chestnuts, celery, carrots, and other stuff that felt more like a stew than the dish o ordered. The take out menu did not mention any of the ingredients so I felt it would be close to the same as any other Chinese place.

It probably would not have been bad if the taste was nothing short of appalling. There was no spice to it even though it is listed as such. It was swimming in this pale brown liquid that had little flavor. I did take a taste and immediately called the restaurant. It was difficult to communicate what was wrong over the phone, so I went in.

They proceeded to show me the restaurant menu which did specify the ingredients which if I would have seen, wouldn't have ordered that dish. I got no refund as with most Chinese restaurants, they will exchange.

I warn you to check ingredients list before ordering from them as they have strange takes on traditional Chinese. I...

There is a reason this place is so dead (meaning no customers) It's not bad food it's not in a bad location and is not the employees fault it's the owners that are killing there own business

Example #1 name one restaurant that charges for a refill on pop. China lite dose

Example #2 ever seen a up charge or added fee for an extra plate read China lite menu they charge 1$ for and extra plate.

Witch was 3 small kids splitting 2 meals.

And now it makes sense to Anyone that's been there as to way this restaurant is so slow with no business they really have no future and won't be open long I bet they spend more than they make and is easy to see why
