When a Restaurant Owner Actually Listens - An Amazing Comeback!
"Updating my review 01/25/2025 - Bumping to 5 stars!
Man, I gotta eat my words (pun intended!) about my last review. After the owner responded to my feedback, I decided to give them another shot - and wow, what a turnaround!
So here's what happened: The owner didn't just apologize - they backed it up with action. They offered to remake the dishes I had issues with, and let me tell you, both the Goat and Chicken Biryani were knockout good this time. We're talking proper Hyderabadi style - fresh, aromatic, and cooked just right. I also tried their Tawa Fish (paid for this one), and it was seriously impressive.
What really got me was how they handled the whole situation. No excuses, no defensiveness - just genuine care about making things right. That first amazing biryani that made me drive an hour? Yeah, THIS was that same quality again.
Look, everyone can have an off day - it's how you handle it that matters. These folks showed me they're serious about their food and their customers. That's the kind of restaurant I want to support.
So yeah, I'm happily updating to 5 stars. If you're craving legit Hyderabadi food, this place is worth the trek. Just maybe give me a heads up if you're going - I might join you for some of that biryani! 😄"
Inconsistent Quality and Disappointing Experience
I really wanted to love this place. After my first taste of their Egg Biryani (to my surprise it turned out to be Chicken Biryani Rice), I was so impressed that I made the hour-long drive several times. But man, what a rollercoaster it turned out to be.
Let me start with the good – that first Egg Biryani was genuinely fantastic. The kind of dish that makes you willing to drive an hour just to get another taste. But things went downhill when I started exploring the rest of their menu.
The Naan bread situation really got under my skin. I ordered their Paneer dish with Naan, expecting the real deal, only to be served frozen Naan (you know the kind you get from grocery stores). Look, I get that not every restaurant can make fresh Naan, but at least be upfront about it on the menu?
But the real heartbreaker was my third visit. I'd talked up this place so much that I convinced family from Toronto to make the hour-long drive with me. Talk about embarrassing – the Chicken Biryani was nowhere near as fresh as before, but the Goat Dum Biryani? That was just sad. Instead of a proper Biryani, we got what felt like day-old rice mixed with some masala. Sure, they loaded it up with goat pieces, but the meat was tough and seemed stale. We ended up tossing the whole thing.
Here's what kills me – they charge premium prices for what's essentially a takeout spot. I'm happy to pay more for quality food, but serving stale dishes? That's just not okay. If they can't keep items fresh, they should just take them off the menu.
One other positive thing to mention here is that, upon request they provided fresh Onion Salad and Lime which was a very kind gesture.
I'm writing this hoping they'll take it as constructive feedback. The potential is there – that first Chicken Biryani proved it, which brought back memories from Hyderabad. But until they sort out their consistency issues and commit to serving only fresh food, I can't recommend this place, especially not to anyone making...
Read moreI was hesitant to try Indian food at first—I wasn’t sure if it would be too spicy or if I’d even like the flavors. But oh my, oh my, this place completely blew me away!
Let me start with the Chicken Biryani—it was perfection. The rice was so flavorful and literally melted in my mouth. I’ve never had anything like it before. Then there was the Butter Chicken—creamy, rich, and downright delicious. But the real showstopper for me was the grilled fish. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever tasted, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
The only part that threw me off was the ordering process. It was a bit confusing, and I wasn’t sure what to do. Someone guiding first-timers like me would definitely help. That said, once I placed my order, I only waited about ten minutes, and the food was already ready—so quick and efficient!
I’m so glad I took the leap and tried this place. The flavors and quality of the food are out of this world. I can’t wait to go back and try even more of the menu! Highly...
Read moreUpdate 5th April 2025- extremely disappointed yesterday with the tawa fish, the price remains the same where in taste is nowhere the same and the quantity now is half of what they previously provided. The fish were so small. We also got chicken 65 which tasted exactly like tawa fish.
We have picked Tawa fish and Chicken Dum biryani yesterday. Tawa fish was the best, very tasty , we could stop enjoying!! Unfortunately chicken biryani spoiled the after taste for us. So, will give a 5Star for just the Tawa Fish, & 2Star for the Chicken...
