This store is superxpensive, it costs seven dollars for a slice of cake and two dollars and seventy five cents for a bottle of water. They do not display the prices of the items when we go to pay at the cashier's desk ,so you might be caught up in a surprise when you are about to pay and you might also have to ask how much were the prices and how much was the tax fee on each item..Also you never know how fresh their cakes and other stuff here it is,because just like in any other place they do not put any production and or expiration dates and a list of ingredients on each of their food items.God forbid if someone is allergic to any of the ingredients in their food items and comes to buy theirstuff and has no clue what is in there until someone gets an allergic reaction and goes to the Emergency Room..For sure this issue has to be raised at the governors and the senators when they pass food maintenance laws.We have told the mayor and the health departmentof Fort Lee Nj, so far about them let us see if anything changes for better...At "Jun's Macaron Gelato"they have some papers similar to newspapers that have lead and carbon on them on the shelves where they put the cakes, so the deserts that the customers buy here are put on top of these similar magazine looking like papers which have lead and other intoxicating particles on them. Not only that looks ugly, but it makes us feel discusting about what they're selling too...The place is kept dirty, the people that work here do not clean and disinfect the tables and the chairs ,sofas at this store ,after each time that the clients that had occupied those chairs and tables have left the store,as such the tables and chairs are always dirty at Juns macraon Gelato store. The stuff(personel)does not follow the hygiene rules they catch the slices of the cakes with bare hands with their long filthy nails and put them in and out of the shelves when we purchase them.We are all watching this and even when we KINDLY tell them to use gloves and they get frustrated and maybe will only use one glove at one hand and leave the other hand without the glove while touching our food. Can you imagine what can happen behind our backs when no one is watching maybe food that falls on the floor gets put back for sale..clearly this people do not care.Yes we get extremely thirsty after eating their cakes and other dessers ,clearly we have no clues what is in their desserts..Their teas are served on very small nylon bags like those very small nylon bags from the gift shops.Yuck..who would want to drink their teas?!.They aslo need to repair their sidewalks and keep them cleaned all the times. We have let them know about those issues, but no one cares Last b..Stay away from this place and do your...
Read moreThis bakery offers a wide variety of sweet options, from elegant pastries to creative macaron and gelato combinations. It’s a small but charming spot with a clean, cozy feel that makes it easy to relax or take a break from a busy day.
During my visit, I ordered a hot chocolate, a chocolate macaron, and a tiramisu roll. Everything I tried was fresh and delicious. The hot chocolate was rich and smooth, not too sweet, and just what I needed to warm up. The macaron had a perfect texture — crisp on the outside and soft inside. The tiramisu roll was soft, creamy, and light with just the right touch of espresso flavor.
There’s limited seating inside, but enough to enjoy a quick snack or get a little work done if you’re on the go. I could see myself stopping here again while working remotely or just passing through the area.
If you’re in Fort Lee and have a sweet tooth, this is definitely a great stop to treat yourself whether it’s for a dessert break or something...
Read moreThis place used to be Parisienne Bakery, which had been in business for decades. I guess they sold it to the new owner and changed the name to JMG. I used to know the Japanese guy who owned the business who sadly died in house fire about a decade ago. Too bad we lost a good guy. God rest his soul. It was a loss to the local community as well. I guess some Koreans or his wife & relatives took over the business after that with no change to the existing format. Now, it seems like a completely new owner. The place is basically the same, but the items look just fancier & pricier. The Gelato wasn't that bad, but the flavors tasted indistinguishable. I ordered 2 snoops of hazel nut and tiramisu in a cup, but after a while, there was no distinction between the two at all, not just seemingly but also taste-wise. One thing that remains the same is that this place still serves the locals with a...
