Taipei Express — Restaurant in Fort Mill

I'm so glad Taipei Express has opened in Indian Land! The options around here have not been great until now. It was so bad that I've driven all the way to their Providence location for carry-out before. So I was excited to see their sign go up!

I checked it out the first chance I could and it was a great visit. I impulsively talked myself into trying Mongolian Beef instead of their wonderful Crispy Scallion Chicken which is my usual order.

There are a handful of tables in the restaurant, so you can eat there in a pinch but it's a takeout style place. Everyone in the kitchen and at the counter was so friendly. And I brought home a TON of food for myself and my husband. Dinner serving sizes are easily big enough for two full meals. We had the second half of our dinners tonight and enjoyed them just as much.

My Mongolian Beef was very good, and I highly recommend it if you like Mongolian Beef. But you know, it was no Crispy Scallion Chicken. THAT is my favorite dish there, by far. But the exciting thing is, I can just go back this week and get the chicken whenever I want, because my favorite Chinese restaurant in Charlotte is now in my backyard! 😋

Don't bother with the other Chinese restaurants in the area, especially not the new fast-food chain spot that opened further south. Taipei Express...

Food quality is average for Chinese in the area. Service was good just an awkward greeting he just stared at me. Atmosphere one of the better ones that I have seen for a chinese takeout spot. We did Takeout

They have the BEST Hot Mustard in the charlotte area.

What we would order again:

Chicken Wings. Crispy Flavorful throughout Yes theyre breaded. Pork Lo Mein. Not greasy solid flavor cooked well and still hot. Fried Rice. Probaby some of the best we have had around here. White Rice. Nice and sticky!

Our Order:

Sweet n Sour Chicken sauce on the side. Chicken was very soggy. Sesame Chicken. just not "right" Chicken Wings. Crispy great flavor throughout Well done. Egg Rolls. Odd consistency not quite crispy enough and TINY. Crab Rangoon. Kinda funky extra "crab" flavor. more of a fan of the "flower" style rangoons. Not crispy Pork Lo Mein. Not greasy solid flavor cooked well and still hot. Wonton Pork Soup Comes iwth 2 Wontons. Broth is good but wontons are bland. Hot and Sour Soup. I've never had ti made like this before. Had a hint of the flavor i'm used to but not much flavor overall. Fried Rice. Probaby some of the best we have had around here. White Rice. Well.... It's white rice! ...

Visited the new location today and was impressed! The staff was so friendly and professional, I love a family-owned business! I sat inside to eat and was quite hot, so I’d just suggest having a comfortable temperature for diners.

I ordered the wonton soup which had two nice sized wontons. The soup could definitely use more flavor, but for the price I won’t complain! My friend had sesame chicken and said it was good. I ordered their crispy scallion beef was yummy. I added broccoli and I appreciated how fresh the ingredients were. I’m looking forward to trying...
