Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Fort Oglethorpe

Update: the way this place has really gone down hill since leaving... lets start with the parking lot dirty(get a broom and go sweep and change the trash at least) you can see employees smoking outside, trash cans full, inside trash over flowing, almost all the tables were dirty very few guest in the restaurant (2 tables occupied) the drink machine and counter were not stocked filthy with black and pink gunk (bacteria/mold) on ice dispenser n backsplash, dining room looked dingy, bathrooms disgusting soap all in the floor what use to be lightly colored speckled tiles a greyish/black color, bathroom walls dirty, no TP, the employees were very unprofessional, cursing and talking loudly, standing around leaning on the counters on their phones, i just couldn't believe my eyes. Wow what a difference from when i managed there 6months-1 yr ago. Needs some good management, didn't appear to be a manager present while I was inside. I didn't eat there after observing the apparent conditions and appearance of the restaurant currently. So sad to see 😔

Freddy's in Fort O is EXTREMELY BUSY, they are doing something right! The wait wasn't bad. I ordered the #8 meal - chicken tenders and chose onion rings as my side instead of a drink I customized my own shake. The chicken tenders were crispy as expected, the onion rings are the ABSOLUTE BEST 💯, I ordered a smores shake: chocolate Custard, with marshmallow sauce, chocolate chips, graham cracker crumbs, topped with whip cream, chocolate hersey's syrup, n more Graham cracker crumbs 😋 The food was fresh the employees were friendly and smiling 😃 😊 I could really tell they enjoyed working here! I love to see the managers involved and interacting with the employees, service, and the guest as they were. The restaurant wss very clean and well kept! Another thing i liked to see was the range in ages working together and successfully. Keep up the great work Fort O! Way to brighten...

Unfortunately this location has been going down hill. My last three visits there have been issues (out of gas for the soda machine and not being told when placing the order, cleanliness ) each time, but tonight took the cake. Ordered at 8:22 and didn’t get my order till after 9pm. While I understand that they had a local school sports team so it would take longer, the food was cold and old. My fries were old and some were room temperature at best. My date’s cheese fries were worse than mine. I’m not sure if they thought that covering cold fries in cheese sauce would make them hot or what. My burger was not hot by any means and missing toppings that I had to ask for(onion, pickle, ketchup and mustard). Right before we left one of the kitchen staff (I’m not sure what position they hold) came on the loud speaker saying that they apologized for the long wait and then offered free items. I would have liked to have gotten the chance to speak to the MIC but the message was pretty clear that they were closing and wanted to get out of there. Waiting for good food is never an issue, but waiting for food and then it not only being wrong but cold is not...

I finally went to Freddy's in Fort Oglethorpe yesterday. My daughter lives in Alabama and her town has a Freddy's and she's always telling me how great the food is. She raves about the custard milk shakes. I ordered 2 number 1 cheese burgers only. Then I ordered my husband a vanilla shake and ordered a chocolate shake for me. Four items were over $26.00. My husband's vanilla shake was a little thick...but my chocolate shake was so thin it was basically a cup of chocolate milk. I also ordered large shakes. I didn't even need my straw, I drank my very thin chocolate shake. I talked to my daughter and told her about my thin shake and she was shocked. She said her shakes that she gets in Alabama are so thick that it's very hard to get it through the straw, which is a very fat straw. I WILL NEVER go back to Freddy's. I could buy a pint of chocolate ice cream and let it melt some and it would be thicker than the chocolate (milk) I got at Freddy's. I still can't believe that I paid over $26 for that food. Jack's has delicious THICK shakes, so I will go to Jack's when I want a milk shake. I sure won't go back...
