Subject: Extremely Disappointed - Forgotten Rice, Missing Ingredients, and Repeated Mistakes
Dear Cactus restaurant ,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding my recent dining experience at your Mexican restaurant. As a regular customer and someone who has always appreciated the flavors and quality of your cuisine, I was shocked by the lack of attention to detail and the repeated mistakes that occurred during my visit.
First and foremost, I would like to highlight the fact that my order was incomplete. To my astonishment, the rice, a staple component of any Mexican meal, was completely forgotten. It is utterly unacceptable for such a crucial element to be missing from my plate. Not only did it leave me feeling unsatisfied, but it also demonstrated a lack of care in the kitchen.
Furthermore, the tacos I ordered were a far cry from what I have come to expect from your establishment. They were devoid of the essential cilantro and onions that are supposed to enhance the flavors and provide a balanced taste. This omission significantly detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dish and left me feeling utterly disappointed.
What makes matters even worse is that this isn't the first time I have encountered issues with the accuracy and completeness of my orders. I have experienced forgotten items in previous visits as well. It is disheartening to witness a continued lack of improvement in this regard, especially considering the otherwise positive reputation your restaurant has maintained.
As a paying customer, I believe it is essential to provide feedback when such egregious mistakes occur. I sincerely hope that you take my concerns seriously and address them with the urgency they deserve. It is crucial for your establishment to maintain the high standards that have made it a favorite among many patrons.
I strongly urge you to reevaluate your quality control procedures, ensuring that every order leaving your kitchen is complete and accurate. Your customers should be able to trust that their meals will be prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail.
I sincerely hope that you will take this feedback to heart and make the necessary improvements to prevent such disappointments in the future. I have always held your restaurant in high regard, and it is my wish to see it thrive and continue to provide exceptional dining experiences.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing the necessary changes...
Read moreUpdate - There is apparently a new cook at the restaurant, and by all accounts, this has NOT been a successful change. Hopefully they will return to their previous high quality soon.
This is our go-to local Mexican restaurant. The menu is geared more towards Tex-Mex than traditional Mexican food, however there are a few traditional meals offered. The reason we love it above others is that it offers plenty of vegetarian options. The chips are delicious and crispy and never burned. The salsa is heartier than some and almost has a marinara flavor, but it's good..i personally wish it was heavier on the cilantro, but if that's not your thing, you'll like it even more. The waiters are all friendly and fast and efficient (shout out to our favorite, Juan Manuel!) and the restaurant is clean. We have never had any of the alcoholic drinks, but they are available and look delicious. We have sampled a lot from the menu, but our favorite dishes are the Chimichangas (both the chicken and the veggie), the Spinach Enchiladas, Chile Poblanos, the Traditional Bowl, and the Quesadilla Rellena. The Taco Salad is also noteworthy and made differently than any other local restaurant - it looks like a giant taco. They have several TV's and are usually playing sports on them, so you won't miss the game. Parking is easy and is wheelchair accessible. Recommend!
**Update - finally tried a cocktail. Had the Bay Breeze and it...
Read morePretty bummed. Was really hoping to like a local spot. I hate restaurant chains.
Been sick with flu and my boyfriend picked up dinner for me. Got the Paparrilla from the Grill section of the menu and a guacamole.
The meat wasn’t terrible but it was a little over salted. The rib was actually pretty good to be honest.
The guacamole was puréed and like eating avocado whip. It was so salty it was straight inedible. The texture was basically just like baby food. It was super gross, no texture. No tomatoes, no onions. Nothin. Just whipped avacados. And a whole lotta salt.
The crowning glory of this whole experience was when I popped a shrimp in my mouth and noticed the hair in my mouth. It was pretty much stuck and wrapped around the shrimp. It was cooked into it. So I know it def wasn’t my own hair. (I always ask myself this question…it most definately was not.)
Huge disappointment. It’s not that hard. Hair nets people. Hair nets.
And lay off the...
