I live in Rome, Georgia we had 2 , LJS, but they suddenly closed them unexpectedly everyone thought they would rebuild but no they completed demolished them and replace with other fast food restaurants! We have LJS' compatition, but doesn't taste nearly as good. LJS, have there own unique taste and their sides are much better than the competitor's. It's takes me almost an hour but it's a straight shot from my house on Highway 27 North. I usually go to eat there every other week, when I start craving it, I got to satisfy that craving. All the staff are always clean , professional and make you feel as tho they fried and cook those pieces of fish or chicken especially for you ! I have been at different times during the day and later evening , it is always packed but they have their service down to a perfection and professional technique! I went this past Sunday night 5/25/2025 , and got there at 9:13pm it wasn't crowded and I had driven through a Tornado and serve strom to get there , but I had that craving, and no matter what I was going to satisfy my craving! The staff was very friendly, the manager welcomed me and my food was fresh , even tho they were closing at 10:00om , it was as if they just cooked it for me ! Well worth the drive and at other times when they are busy you see no employee panicking, they show great team support and handle the sudden rush of people, without breaking a sweat and that alone speaks, for their dedication and enjoy their jobs. Even at their older location before this new one opened in December 2024! While eating they were beginning to start the break down, a young gentlemen employee came and ask me ,we are close to closing time, he was respectful enough would it disturb me, if so he would wait. I told him no, I was the one who came in late so please go ahead , I know ya'll are ready to go home , it has been a very stormy evening. He and I started talking and he said he was hoping to go to Dental School and pursue being an Orthodontist , which I found that very impressive goal for the younger generation of today. As I left he opened the door for me because I use a cane to walk with, he was locking the door for them to close. I asked him did he mind in my review if I included his picture for my review, he explained the code system to leave a review and that filling it out , I would get a small meal by buying a drink! That was dedication and good service, his name was Christian M. , he deserves to be recognized most kids want even talk to you. This, location at 1599 Battlefield Pkwy Fort Oglethorpe,GA. 30742 is excellent and I have shared my experience on fb, and I had over a 100 people respond saying, they had to...
Read moreBefore entering the restaurant, I observed an employee standing next to the exit door smoking. When we got out of the car, he walked to the entrance door, where he continued smoking. We entered through the exit door and walked walked to the counter to order. Upon getting our drinks, the ice ran out and the cashier said she would go get ice. She came out with a bag of ice that she stated was purchased from a nearby store. Another employee came out with a ladder so he could pour the ice into the drink machine. The cashier began crushing the ice by slamming it on the ground and handed it to the employee who was standing on the ladder. He sat the bag in the drink machine on the same side that the other employee had on the ground instead of using the opposite side. When I tried to explain to him that he had put the part of the bag that had been on the ground inside the drink machine, he sat there and looked lost and spaced out. He continued to pour the dirty ice into the machine and muttered words. The cashier said she would get us some "clean" ice from the back and did the same thing for 2 parties after us. But the dirty ice remained in the machine and no one cleaned the machine, the drink machine remained contaminated. The floors were so greasy, as if they had not been mopped for a week and this was opening time, so there was ample time before opening to clean up and ensure that the ice machine was properly working or simply place a sign up that says ice machine is not working instead of placing dirty bags of ice in the machine. Many of the employees appeared to be high and none of them wore gloves or washed there hands. The management of this establishment needs to vet who they hire as this is the last Long John's Silvers in this surrounding area and it may close due to this...
Read moreOn March 7, 2021 Sunday at 5:03pm, I treated my Mother to her favorite Resturant-LJS Fort Oglethorpe, GA that she has not visited since last year due to the pandemic. She placed an ordered through the window and was quite excited to get a shrimp taco, not knowing the deal are 2 tacos for the same price for one. The employee rudely asked if she wanted one or two tacos, which he could have easily informed her the taco deal for one price you get 2 tacos. We pulled up to the window, again employee was very verbal hostile towards her even after she tried to explained the misconception but she agreed with the deal. He then directed us to pull forward to wait on our order. We didn't feel comfortable (Not knowing what he was compatible doing to our food) due to his poorly customer service etiquette. He then snapped at her and forcibly pointed his finger at her to say pull over there. I immediately intervened because at this point he was being very rude & disrepectable towards an elderly person. I asked him to cancel the order. Well, he gave cash back in lieu refunding credit card, not sure why. But The point is, my Mother was treated unfairly and targeted at this disservice LJS. The story ends as this wrongfully employee interaction at location was the General Manager, Josh Emmer. Sure, his position/title is to be a professional leader and to follow LJS's mission/corporate level standards, unfortunately he failed in all areas. He definately needs extensively customer service experience training especially for older...
