This place should be avoided if at all possible. Even my two young boys (6 & 8) say they don't want to go there anymore. And let me tell you, when two hungry boys say, "Dad, let's not come back here again.", you know someone has really dropped the ball.
We sat in the drive thru line behind 2 single occupant cars. Looking to the southeast corner of the parking lot, there are five cars in a designated waiting or staging area.
There was no one in the lobby. The front counter, kitchen, the pay and pick up windows (2 seperate windows) were fully staffed. And since our previous two visits had gone poorly, the boys and I decided to put a stopwatch on our order. Speaker box to pay window 9 minutes. Pay window to pick up window, 8.5 minutes where we were informed that we'd have to pull over to the corner, which now had 7 cars in it.
That's right, not one order had come out the door during our 17.5 minute in line wait. Wondering where we were gonna park, one order came out the door.
The employee very slowly saundered to the first car. I saw the lady's face and it was bright red as she was squealing her tires out of the parking lot. I wondered how long she had been waiting as we took the space she had occupied.
Looking down the row of waiting customers I could see only single occupants in each car. Over the next 8 minutes orders came out the door one bag at a time. That told me there were no big orders ahead of us. Three minutes later our order finally arrived. Burgers and fries were both cold. I had to ask myself, how does it take twenty eight and a half minutes to make eight single orders and the food not even be warm?
Never thought I'd hear my boys say, "Let's not go to this McDonald's anymore." But it happened. We will drive the 20 miles to Nevada Mo. and I'm willing to bet, we will have hot food in less than a half an hour.
Speaking with other family members (and there are a lot of them) they have had the same experiences. Fort Scott McDonald's is by far the worst, supposedly "fast food" restaurant I have ever been to. If you want fast, fresh hot food, - Do...
Read moreI ordered Door Dash tonight, and the order ticket was right, but my Iced Mocha that arrived sealed in the bag McDonalds bagged it in was actually a Carmel drink. When I called McDonald's to tell them my drink was wrong, a man who identified himself as a manager, told me that was on Door Dash and I'd have to call them because there's nothing he can do about it. Now annoyed, I asked since my drink came in a sealed bag that was given to my Door Dash person by his employees, and my Door Dash person couldn't have possibly known the drink was wrong, how is that a Door Dash problem, and not a McDonald's problem? The manager told me to "lose my tude" and he'd put my name on the list to make it right next time. "Lose my tude?" I asked. " "You mean my annoyance that you're denying accountability and passing the buck?" "How about you do your job??" "Matter of fact, how about you just give me your name so I can report you ro your boss?" He refused to give me his name 5 times until I offered to come down there and get it from his name tag. That's when he fessed up his name was Jake. It's sad this person made it all the way to management without basic knowledge in accountability and...
Read moreThey messed up the burgers ordered which happens everytime. Today it was actually hot and fresh surprisingly was the only bonus. However this is the first time I've ever been told that since our meal that we asked to be the large and not medium comes with a medium drink only and denied the ability to get a large soda or even order a large slushy cause medium was the only size allowed which came out in a small drink cup. We have always upsized the drinks to large and never had issue. I seriously don't know why I even bother going there anymore, however the grandbabies love their happy meals. We spend almost $50 everytime we go and everytime there's something wrong or it's cold stale food and we sit for almost 30 minutes waiting for the food to come out just to have to sit longer while they correct it. Honestly, I get that there are teens and adults there that work hard at their jobs but having worked for the company in the past I can say there is no reason for their sloppy rude and careless performance on such a consistent basis. Making complaints to the management also gets you nowhere but...
