It looks great and was well done decor and style wise unfortunately that’s where the good ends. We were so excited to try this place we went during the first couple weeks. We went as a family and we went when it was not busy being a new place we aimed to go during the least busy time of the day. When we got to the counter to order we were not greeted by a friendly person instead we were greeted by a extremely snobbish and condescending young woman who really should not be anywhere near a customer service oriented place. She didn’t smile or anything that would indicate that you were welcome in. She asked in exact words “do you know what you want “ glared at you then said “what do you want “ we quickly became aware of what we were in for from that point on. I had some questions but knew better than to ask. We ordered 3 bowls and chips and salsa. We got to the end and paid. We were very surprised at the price point of the place they have KC prices. For what we got we were charged $55 seems rather extreme. Anyway we sat down got our food and it was lukewarm near cold this was very surprising. The chips were stale or overcooked I know my homemade tortilla chips and this was bad. Salsa was ok. The bowls had undercooked crunchy rice you couldn’t get past. I still was not going to mention anything but then my husband found papers in his food after he chewed on it. At this point I went inside and asked to speak to someone an older woman said she was the one to talk to. I showed her the bowl and papers I also mentioned that the rice was crunchy and hard. The chips were overcooked or stale. Also brought up her staff member. All of which she just shrugged her shoulders and said she could give a gift card and I looked at her shocked at her total indifference and lack of concern. I declined the offer and said I would not be coming back and she stated” okay “ she did offer to give me the money for the bowl and made a big production of eating a spoonful of rice and said “ this is how we do the rice “ I shook my head in complete disbelief on how a owner could be so rude and indifferent especially with a brand new business. I would have to guess since they have three businesses in the town they feel they are untouchable. Well two of your businesses are very overpriced and quality is deeply in need of improvement. In addition the service needs fixed. You could not pay me to go back. I might have tried again but if the owner herself does not care about anything then why should anyone want to go there.
So bottom line if you want: Rude staff treatment Crunchy hard rice (because she said that’s how they make it) Cold food Overcooked...
Read moreWell, somehow I was charged $16.49 for three pieces of chocolate cake yesterday. I was served by one of the owners. The cake was really good. But seriously....price gouge much? Not going back. UPDATE: How clever of this restaurant to reply and insult me at the same time! No, I do not need help reading the prices. The pieces of cake were priced at $3.49 each slice. I bought three slices and was charged $16.49. I did not realize at the time and just handed over the money as I was engaged in conversation with someone else and did not expect to be cheated. In any case, if you'd like me to teach you how to add, I'd be delighted. My tutoring rates will be clearly posted before we begin our lessons and then I'm going to charge you a 600% increase in sales tax as you must have charged me. And you just lost stars for speaking to a customer that way. I'm sure others will take notice of how you are willing to belittle customers in a public forum and I suspect that will not bode well for you. It makes you look...
Read moreI heard about this place and had to stop in to check it out.
It's a quaint little building on the north end of town. After you walk through the archway, you are greeted by a modern storefront behind a covered porch area. When you walk in, the atmosphere is very modern and cozy.
The staff are friendly and polite.
You get to build your burrito/bowl/tacos in a style very similar to chipotle. There is one key difference I greatly appreciate. They do not skimp on the ingredients!
The food itself is of decent quality with good flavor. The preparation was executed well.
The burrito is even easy to eat without it falling apart on you.
The prices are fair. This is a great place to grab a big bite to eat without breaking your wallet.
My family all enjoyed our meal.
We will certainly be back. I recommend stopping by to...
