I have been wanting to try this place out. It’s just always so busy which is great for a new business. I went in after lunch, they were still pretty busy, and the employees were not the friendliest. As someone who has never been here before, I wasn’t sure what the menu consists of or what the process for ordering looked like. I ordered a chipotle chicken bowl. The employee cutting meat was bothered, I guess, and said “I don’t take those orders.” Then called for someone else to come take it. While trying to place the order with the other employee, the person cutting meat began talking over me and asking the customers behind me what they wanted. Then, I was handed a ticket with my order information on it. I wasn’t sure what to do with that - nothing was explained. I assumed I would stand in line and once the bowl was ready I would tell them what other items I wanted in the bowl. Instead, I was brought a bowl that had a little bit of lettuce, some chicken, a few onions, cheese, and Mayo. I paid $13 for something that I could have gone to Newks and gotten way more food for, and good customer service. I needed a fork and there were none by the drink station. I stood at the counter watching other customers interact and overheard one customer say she had been waiting for over an hour for her online order. I continued standing there, staff walked over to place orders on the counter, would look at me, and then walk away. Finally, someone walked up and starred at me. I asked for a fork and was dismissively told they are at the drink station. I explained they are none over there. The employee leaned over the counter to see - I guess she didn’t believe me - and then came around the counter to refill the containers. I normally don’t complain about things like this, but the entire experience was just unpleasant all around. I will say, the food I ate was good and I’m sure the other things on the menu are as well. Customer service jobs are difficult, but a little kindness, patience, and guidance when ordering...
Read moreWe live in Oklahoma and rarely come to fort smith but when we do we always go to Jersey Mikes. Recently my husband had a freak accident and it landed him in the hospital for two weeks currently undergoing his FOURTH surgery and they’re trying to save his arm. After his first surgery he was able to eat again and the only thing he requested was Jersey mikes. I took my daughter with me and the friendly associates went out of their way to ask about our day and I gave them the run down. They not only made me feel like they cared about my family but one young man told my daughter how strong her daddy is and that everything is going to be okay. I’m forever grateful for him and everyone really made a difference that day. It’s so nice to know that there’s still people out there who care. I know it’s just a sandwich shop but to us it’s much more than that. So grateful for your empathy and fantastic sandwiches! We...
Read moreJersey mikes is the only chain sandwich shop I go to. Love them. Always a great experience. Having moved here a few months ago, I was happy to see one.. They were so busy though, (which is to be expected) I just didn’t have the time. So when I just happened to be driving by shortly after they opened. I took the opportunity to get some lunch ahead of time. I wasn’t hungry or in a hurry, but Jersey Mikes is Jersey Mikes. They seemed friendly when I arrived, but quickly I was a bother. Was it too early to order a hot sandwich? I felt like I asked for a forbidden item. I wasn’t asked what kind of bread. When it was done, it was just wrapped up and given to me. No toppings? They did ask if I wanted a drink and chips though. I get home just to have more vegetables than meat, that were raw. $17 for a sandwich I can’t eat. I wish I could blame this place, but it’s Fort Smith in general. Do better. This...
