Update: 03/25/23 not really changed. Just more of the same awesomeness. I had a nice little salad while waiting for the fresh customized pizzas our party ordered. This time I limited myself to one slice (they are very small but you can have as many as you want) of each of my favorite pizzas including 5 different dessert pizzas. Also when they served my son his favorite the server ask, what do you call this? We have people coming in asking for "that pizza with the barbq sauce" He said well my name's Adam. I said and his last name is Strange. I think they are leaning g toward calling it "Strange Pizza" Original: Larry's Pizza in Ft. Smith was great. I was familiar with their fare at another location several years earlier. Larry's is a buffet pizza. When you purchase your buffet you can also request any kind of pizza you want. They practically specialize in special orders. You get your plate and a Large beverage glass. Then you can go through the buffet line and help yourself to what's available, sit and wait for your pizza if you ordered or both. The crust is thin so you can taste the toppings and not fill up on bread. The slices are very narrow, help yourself to as many of one kind as you like or try a wide variety. It's a good way to try new combinations. My son isn’t a fan of pizza sauce so he orders one with a bar b que base. When a pie comes out of the oven one of the wait staff brings it to the table that ordered it. After they have been served as many pieces as they want, staff circulates the floor, offering slices to anyone interested. If any are left, they go on the buffet. One pizza you rarely find on the buffet is stuffed baked potato. It is so good it just doesn't make it around the floor. And in Ft. Smith it is a nice sized warehouse. Surprisingly the sound is not overwhelming, you can visit while you are eating. Perhaps because of the high ceiling. We were at table #1, rightness to the entrance to a large game room. I am not a player but I saw kids and young adults both playing. The young adults were giving away the tickets they won to random kids. One final important note; the price. It was in line with other buffets PLUS they give senior citizen and military discounts. Nearly everyone in my party qualified for one or the other so that was a pleasant bonus. Helped make up what it cost in gas for me...
Read moreThey were extremely friendly, and made sure we were taken care of. It was my wife's first time at Larry's Pizza, and she loved that they kept carrying different pizza's around to all the tables. They also offered to make anything on the menu, or anything custom, that was not already on the buffet or being carried around by the servers. The pizza that always gets me to come back, is the Elvis Presley. Highly recommend it!!! It's a peanut butter and banana pizza. It sounds like an awful idea, but it's the best tasting dessert pizza you could ever ask for!!!
The entrance to the building is a little strange. Once you walk through the front doors, your left standing in a small room. There's some signs, posters, and a few decorations. A kids candy/toy quarter vending machine to the left, but then that's it. You have to walk down the hall on the left, and through the next door to get to the register. There is no counter or person to greet you at the front door. So this can be a little confusing. Once at the register, we noticed two cashiers trying to count the money in the cash drawer and tip jar. They did not greet us, as we stood at the counter waiting. We had to get their attention, due to their attention being fully on the cash drawer. They apologized though, and immediately took care of us.
Larry's Pizza, I recommend moving your counter and register to that front empty room. This way, as soon as your guests walk through the front door, they can immediately be greeted by a smiling face. I also recommend finding a way to be more organized with your cash drawer. Use a safe for cash thats not in the cash drawer, and be in a secure location in the building to count your money. I do not recommend someone pulling all the cash out, and counting it right there at the counters register. Doing this, you are putting yourselves at risk of being robbed. Putting yourselves, and your guests, possibly in a very uncomfortable and...
Read moreService: It is superb. They bring the pizzas to you! There are so many pizza options and combinations. There are many drink options, too. The salad bar is pretty nice and consists of a variety of different items. Ample room for tables and chairs. You can dine with 2 or 20. They can fit your needs.
Atmosphere: It was buzzing. Lots of happy customers, kids playing over in the arcade room, big screen TV was going (we are talking 15 feet by 15 feet size tv... huge. I can't imagine game day here) The arcade has tons of games and tickets to win prizes. Our kids loved it.
Food: For our visit, we enjoyed it greatly. You can have them make any type of pizza you want. The pizza is hot and fresh, and they use quality ingredients. We loved the food.
