Newk's Eatery — Restaurant in Fort Smith

Horrible service food is good but entirely way too slow and bad communication been there twice first time was a call in order told me it would be ready in 9min got there 15mins after i placed my order was told it wasnt ready yet waited another 25min and she handed me an order that was sitting behind her on the half wall since i had gotten there. 2nd time i went i figured id order in person to eliminate confusion i order she tells me it will be right out i stand there for 10min and notice she is telling the following customers after me it will be a 30-45min wait so i approach and ask if that wait applies to my order as well she says yes! I told her i need a refund because what i was told was my order would be right out i dont have a long enough lunch break to wait that long and would not have ordered if i would have been told about the wait! So far very displeased and after 2 times trying this place its hard to give them a 3rd try sad because the food i have had was very good. Paid about 6 dollars for overcooked pasta. The pasta was stringy, melty, gooey, and overdone with the sauce base. The taste was foul and extremely off. I gagged after taste testing it. I had this same dish awhile back when I first came here and it was never like this. At that time, I gave them good review, but the last two experiences were not good and today sealed the deal so I am changing my rating.This is the first time I ever gagged tasting something from a fast food place. This place used to be decent but went downhill quickly. There is a reason this place is nowadays often "dead" and when places are discussed to eat at among friends, Newks is never brought up as a viable option. The front worker (wish I could remember your name) she was so GOOD. I remember I lightly told her my daughter had allegeries she made sure everyone used clean gloves and utensils and so on…. She was on top of it. We are used to the Rogers Pinnacle Hills location and this one was not even a fraction of how nice the atmosphere is there. My husband was disappointed in the soda machine because it was all fancy like the one up there. Silly I know but it makes a difference when you are on strict diets or just soda deprived like him.
