Fried Green Tomatoes & Cali Chick — Restaurant in Fort Valley

We were just driving through and got a little hungry. I’ve been craving some good fried chicken lately and I saw the sign for Fried Green Tomatoes southern cooking cafeteria. We’re not from Fort Valley, but the way everyone smiled and greeted us, you’d think we knew each other our whole lives. That’s was the “hook” for me. Once we ordered and sat down to eat, the chicken was good, not so fatty and not too salty. The mashed potatoes almost melted in my mouth! And the best part was the red velvet cake for dessert. I had to stop myself from eating it all so I could take it home to Columbus and share with my daughter who loves red velvet just as much as I do!

If i could put a zero star I would. The customer service was completely wonderful UNTIL The manager Kesha came from the back, not knowing what was happening. Came from taking out the trash WITHOUT washing her hands, and in tights 🤢, To show her tail completely and deserves to be fired. She is extremely disrespectful. Also, she was completely ignorant to the situation. When it was stated that "the customer is ALWAYS right" , she stated, and i quote, "not in here, this is my establishment". She also MUSHED the completely wonderful employee out the way that was helping me, and doing her due-dillegence, who completely deserves to be the manager, instead of the sorry arse, lady that was so called the manager. Food was good. It was hot and fresh. First thing I noticed when walking into the restaurant was all 3 workers in uniform as well as 2 other people that wasn't workers were all sitting down at a table in back corner talking and laughing very loudly. There were no other customers in the restaurant. I walked up to the start of the counter and waited patiently for a little over 5 mins until one of the ladies came and asked,"What you gettin"? I finished my order and then was checking out. I answered If I could do a split payment. The lady at register said,"Naw, I can't do that cause I don't know how so you gonna have to pay all in cash or all on ya card". Needless to say the atmosphere was not very inviting...
