Papa Joe's Hideaway — Restaurant in Fort Walton Beach

I’ve come to this place for years… this place always have had great staff until I made a visit there for wings only on Friday 3/28/25. An older lady working behind the bar had ignored me several times but I also understood it was a busy night. So when she finally gets to me she automatically asked for my ID so I stated to her that I was not purchasing alcohol but that I only wanted to order wings she told me I looked too young and she needed an ID I explained again that I am 37 and only wanted to order wings. So the younger bar tender came and stated an ID was needed. So I went to get my ID and when I came back in with my ID I gave the younger bartender my ID and she gave it back and stated that she was not going to sale me anything because I was ignorant and she doesn’t have to serve me. So also stated she was rejecting sale and that I could leave. I had never been treated this way before at this location nor have I ever been carded for wings. This is ridiculous and prejudice. These lady’s do not need to work at this place they are not good for business at all. I left on this night with no food and poor...

Wish I could give a zero. I came around 10pm after my bartending shift to get a drink and some food with a friend from out of state. Heard the wings were good so we wanted to try it out. Both bartenders so rude! They both walked by us glanced at both of us and kept walking by completely ignoring us! People were literally walking up next to where we were sitting and immediately were served and we sat there for 15 minutes without even as so much as an acknowledgment that we were even there! Long blond haired and short brown hair bartenders. Way to drive away two paying customers. I will not ever go back after the treatment we experienced. Here in business, this place was recommended as thee best wings in town/ever. I travel alot, so tried it out. This place is hide. and can be missed. Its a sports bar, patio outside is welcomint, inside is totally different. Its a sports bar, pool tables, high chairs and dark. not for kids to come visit. Bar tender was nice (ok). Wings (Honey Garlic) and the wings are what the ppl has said it was. Fried just right (not dry/hard cook), just right, the sauce was just right, not smoother/poured like some places do, it was the right amount of sauce to finger lic your fingers. was impressed.
