I can see this place from where I live. I'd never been to this place in my life. I walk in and see arcade games, which excites me, because my boyfriend loves that.
The menu, posted outside, drew me in. I couldn't wait to eat tacos there! A man emerges, from the back, putting gloves on and says hello.. (Long hair, undercut, ponytail.) That is great! Greeting people is what you're supposed to do. Good job on that. HOWEVER, how dare I say, "Oh, sorry. I've never been here and I'm not sure of what I want, yet."
You'd have thought that I had just kicked his dog or something, because he goes on to tell me, "I'm just saying hello. Do you have an answer to that? It's policy and I've got stuff to do." Cold!
Let me go on to talk about how you NEVER KNOW what kind of day someone is having and you can NEVER FORGET .... just to be nice to people! People, who work with people, should be able to leave any personal issues at the door. If you can't, maybe get a job in a warehouse or in a cubicle or something.. you know, somewhere that you don't have to talk to people.
This day was, particularly, hard for me and I hadn't eaten. So, when he said those things to me, I felt unwelcome and like I should probably leave. And as I was leaving, he shouted, "Have a nice day!", sarcastically.
My boyfriend was like, "What just happened?", we talked a min and decided to go back. I, hesitantly, walked back in but refused to approach the counter.
The food was awesome, the ladies were so sweet and there was a guy (whom I could not see.. not sure if it was the same guy who was rude or if it was someone else), loudly, making fun of every song that came on the radio and using bad words. I'm not really offended by that, and I'm not sure if kids are allowed in here or not, but it could upset parents with small children.
This is, maybe, the 2nd review I've EVER left in my entire life but, after the day I've had.. This about made me cry when he did what he did.
People, if you hate your job.. quit. Let someone else, who will treat people with respect, have a chance to pay their bills.
I have absolutely no problem removing this review, once the issue has been addressed. If it's still up, it means the place hasn't done...
Read moreWe have been coming to Fort Walton for 3 straight years and every year we get Robinson’s at least twice during our stay. We absolutely love the tacos. This review is not at all negative about the food quality/price. Every year has been amazing — until this one. They do not allow you to make special requests on DoorDash. I learned this the first year and since then, I place the order and call the restaurant immediately with modifications (by this I mean, no lettuce, no tomato, etc.) This year I did the same. However, upon ordering and immediately calling the restaurant again, I was unable to get through after 15 minutes of repeated dialing and using different cell phones just to make sure it wasn’t my cell phone. My DoorDash driver was incredible and told them I needed to speak with them. He didn’t speak English, so he called me from his phone and handed it to the employee. As I’m trying to explain the situation, she cuts me off saying “IF YOU NEED TO ADD ON YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH DOORDASH.” I politely replied saying “I didn’t need to add anything… I needed to make a couple modifications.” She then slightly changed her tone and told me she would check on it, coming back and saying “yeah, sorry it’s too late.” At this point, I am unable to get a refund for my order from DoorDash as they want the restaurant and dasher to get paid (which is understandable.) My issue is with the establishment and the employee being unable to accommodate when I tried very hard to get ahold of them prior to them making the food. I understand things happen and they are probably busy but we were then forced to accept that $70 worth of food was only half eaten due to not being able to accommodate our requests nor fix the issue once I contacted them.
I hope the owners/manager see this and can fix the issue with DoorDash allowing...
Read moreFirst and last time we'll come here. We ordered beef and fish tacos. The tacos were both served in flour tortillas. Quality was well below expectation, especially for the price, which was a la carte. Luckily we thought to ask about it since it we at first assumed each came order came with two tacos for what you pay. $3.50 for one of these fish tacos? Don't do it. Especially when there are plenty taco trucks serving authentic street tacos in the area. The beef tacos were not only under seasoned but oily, and the fish tacos were dry, and just lacked flavor.
Service was also poor. Server seemed annoyed that we didn't have our order ready when she walked to the car, and we weren't there long, we were just looking around. We were first timers, but she didn't explain anything - the menu prices that were a la carte, any specials, drinks. When we asked her what they had to drink, she literally replied, "Coke...?" so we asked about the beers on the right and she just says to point out which ones and she'll get them for us. But we just wanted one to drink with our food... not the whole case! Speaking of food, we asked for a mild and hot sauce to go with our order, but she forgot to add them.
There was a plus side to this whole ordeal - the food was prepared quickly. But maybe because the filling was so small. Look at the pic - that's the fish taco that costs $3.50! If you don't care for the novelty of driving through a building or the atmosphere of the place,...
