This place is on another level when it comes to the fast food chicken game. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, the dining room is clean, the staff are friendly, and most importantly, the chicken is exceptional. I got the 3-3 meal, which comes with three tenders, three wings, fries, and Texas toast. Now they make all their chicken to order, so it was hot and juicy when it hit the table. I got my tenders plain with ranch dressing to dip. The tenders were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt and spices. They paired excellently with the cool, creamy housemade ranch dressing. The wings are served deep fried without any breading. I took the staff recommendation and had them tossed in the sweet red chili. I got two drums and a flat and they were perfectly coated in a sauce that was balanced with a decadent sweetness followed by a mild kick on the backside of the palate. Paired with the fries and Texas toast, it really constitutes a decent meal. Only thing I would suggest is getting a vegetable as an additional side for a more well-balanced meal. I liked to refer to this kind of fast food restaurant as an "artisinal" chicken spot. It can't even be compared to places like KFC or Zaxby's because the quality is miles above. As a result, the prices are higher to match the quality, but still fall within a reasonable range for the area. The closest comparison would be a similar chain that currently dominates the southeastern coast of the United States in the same fresh chicken tender game, Huey Magoo's chicken. Slim Chickens started in Fayetteville Arkansas and has slowly worked its way into Texas, the southeast, and now the Florida panhandle. Meanwhile, their biggest competition is making similar moves westward. I look forward to enjoying more Slim Chickens in the future and watching the fanciful fast food chicken tender wars continue as they expand further...
Read moreLet me first say I love your food and eat it often, plus I have your app to collect points. Today, I did an order through the drive thru for $33.34. I noticed the amount of fried okra was much less than in my past orders. So, I went inside the restaurant to question what I noticed. The first person showed no interest in my question about the amount of okra, the second person from drive thru (was nice and friendly) referred me to the manager, AUSTIN, who was on his cell phone behind the counter. Once he was off of his phone, it looked like he was having a bad day (my observation was correct in how he dealt with me) and as I explained my displeasure with the amount of okra in the order, he responded that everything is measured and if I wanted, he would make another order to compare. I asked him if he did that, would he be willing to redo the entire order as it would be cold by the time the new okra was done to which he responded "no" in a manner that was condescending, but that he would give me a brownie. After some more discussion about consistency amount of the product and feeling shorted, and realizing that he would not redo the order, I asked if I was still going to get a brownie in which he responded "no' because of my attitude. Never once did I raise my voice or make a scene. At this point, I definitely felt shorted and that my valid complaint was trivialized. Austin lacks severely in customer service skills! His demeanor and the way he treats your customers and employees are a reflection of your company. I am a regular customer and have visited your establishment 7 times, including today, in the month of January. I do not feel that I will be back. There are other restaurants that serve chicken sandwiches and so forth with more quantity of product and definitely better customer service. This was the worst...
Read moreI love this company and I love their food so very much. I recommend this place to all the new people that I need that are looking for new places to try. The only reason why I only give this one star for the service and the atmosphere is because yes the people that were in the drive-through were so sweet and so nice but unfortunately, my order was incorrect. I repeated it twice. She repeated it back to me. It did come up wrong. My problem is that the male manager that answer the phone after I got a hold of them to let them know it was wrong said that it was my problem and I was wasting his time. I told him I understand these things happen, but he was so rude to me and kept telling me I was wasting his time and I should’ve ordered the right thing even though I did but they had messed it up and things like this happens. I’ve worked in food service since I was a teenager so I understand and I understand not being able to give refunds. I know that can be some businesses policies. But he did not want to help me and he was so rude. I was very respectful and very calm for the whole conversation. I asked him if I could just get my food and he said whatever and put my name down. When I did show up to the restaurant, he was nowhere to be found. A woman greeted us and fix the order right away without arguing. I appreciate the people that were kind. To me every time I go there, but to this manager that did not give me his name I hope whatever was going on he gets better. I don’t wish harm or ill will towards him at all. I just know someone that has managed food businesses before I would never have told them that they were the problem and they were...
