While ordering at the drive thru, my children (4, 7, and 10) opened the back window in our van and said in unison to the employee taking our order "welcome to good burger, home of the good burger, can I take your order?" Because they love that movie and wanted to try the good burger meal. I apologized, told the kids to close the window, and tried to continue with my order. The employee then told me they can deny service when a customer yells at them in the drive thru. I didn't hear them when they said it the first time because my van is a 1987 and pretty loud. I told them I was sorry and couldn't hear them so I was going to turn my van off to continue the order. After turning it off, I started again and they said they wouldn't take my order because we yelled at them. I thought they were joking at first so I asked if they were serious. They said "yes, goodbye". I was super confused because nobody had yelled at them or said anything rude/offensive so i thought maybe they hadnt heard what my children had said so I tried to explain. They just said "have a good night" repeatedly, not letting me get a word in edge wise. I told them "well that's just not nice" then they said "neither is yelling at someone in the drive thru".
At that point another car pulled up behind us so I drove around the parking lot and got back in line behind the car so they would hopefully take our order after the car behind us ordered. They did so I'm really unsure why they were so pressed just minutes before that.
According to the Britannica Dictionary definition, yelling is characterized by vocalizing loudly because you are "angry, surprised, or trying to get someone's attention". They were doing none of those things. I understand having that policy in place to protect employees from verbal abuse and the like by customers, but from children saying a line from their favorite...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars and still write this review I would!! It only took 1 really bad experience to COMPLETELY change my opinion about this Arby's in particular... it is down the street from my job so this WAS my "go to" on my lunch break however, 1 extremely rainy afternoon I quickly went through the drive-thru and then straight back to my job taking a full size on the way because online took up the majority of my break. I don't know if it was because I was in a hurry or what but somehow I did not realize until I got back to work that they had shorted me $12. I did not have time to go back right then so I went after work and they proceeded to tell me they could not give me my money and told me to call tomorrow cuz the person who rang me up would have to do that and he was gone for the day. Call the next day and explained the situation to the manager who proceeded to tell me that they would not be giving me my $12 because none of the drawers from the night before we're over in that amount. I asked if they had cameras that they could watch the footage to see who put my $12 in their pocket then because it went somewhere. She basically said that they do but that it would take too much time that she didnt have. So in a nutshell, they STOLE $12 from a single mother who is her children's sole provider and then REFUSED to even try to rectify the situation and repay what was owed. A business is only as strong as its weakest link and it took a very weak, simple individual to do such a petty act. Shame on you and that whole...
Read moreI was a previous employee there. I can tell you from experience, that this place is horrible. Not only is the food poorly prepared, they constantly reuse dirty dishes and utensils, as well as cut corners on protocol. They hardly ever wash there hands and the food is sometimes past there expiration date, or freezer burnt. The GM of this store seems nice at first appearance, but you soon realize that its fake and somewhat annoying. He is a poor Manager, letting his personal life affect the business. He plays favorites with employees, Treating his favorites with illogical bias. He prefers to hire mostly young, attractive males and doesn't have any African-American females working for him. The GM seems to insist upon treating people with utmost respect, YET he doesn't keep his word, and he doesn't return phone calls. He even takes advantage of small loopholes to cut corners in policy. When costumers complain, he bribes them with free food to shut them up. I strongly do not recommend this fast food restaurant.Tell all your friends,...
