We were in town over Memorial Day weekend and went twice. Both times with large parties. We called ahead both times to ensure they could accommodate us, and both times we were assured that they could.
The first time, Friday evening, service was slow. The server was sweet but inexperienced, with no help on a busy night, and the wait between drinks, apps, more drinks, and dinner was quite long. Drinks were delicious and the food was good too.
The second time, Sunday evening, we came with a group of 17 after being assured that they could handle us, no problem. Drinks were tasty. Service was about the same speed, and we were hungry. When I finally got my burger, I noticed that the egg on top was raw. Not over easy; I'm talking a clear, runny egg white. I told the server and she said "no, it's sunny side up." I told her no one else had a clear white on the burger and showed it to her again. Then she said "well, we only have one person in the kitchen." I understand being short staffed, but that's not an excuse to serve unsafely prepared food. She never apologized or admitted wrongdoing. The manager eventually came out, very apologetic, and comped most of our meals, some of which hadn't even come out yet.
We called ahead both times specifically to avoid this. The management should have turned us away if they didn't have the staff to accommodate us. Large...
Read moreBirdie's rooftop bar and The Bradley hotel provided an absolutely unforgettable experience for my secret proposal. Their exceptional service, particularly from the staff member Kaylin (apologies if the spelling is incorrect), went above and beyond to make this momentous occasion truly special.
Kaylin's assistance was invaluable in helping me choose the perfect spot on their balcony for the proposal. She even guided my blindfolded fiancé to the elevators, ensuring that every detail was executed flawlessly. The level of care and attention she displayed truly made all the difference.
Furthermore, the entire staff at Birdie's and The Bradley hotel deserves commendation for their warmth and enthusiasm. They not only accommodated our needs but were genuinely excited for us, adding a heartfelt touch to the whole experience. Their thoughtfulness extended even further when they offered to clean up the roses that were on the ground after the proposal, demonstrating their commitment to making every moment perfect.
I couldn't have chosen a better place for such an important moment, and I wholeheartedly recommend Birdie's rooftop bar and The Bradley hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and accommodating venue for special occasions. Thank you for making our proposal so...
Read moreWe are staying at The Bradley, we rented a room for 3 nights for our anniversary. We came down from our room for a drink an hour before the restaurant closed and we were never acknowledged by the bartender, she actually rolled her eyes when we walked up. Thankfully, the person at the host stand came behind the bar after at least 5 minutes and asked if we wanted a drink menu. Eventually we ordered our drink and went outside and sat at a table. As we were sitting the bartender came outside to several other people to check-in on them and never came to where we were sitting to see if we need anything, by the way this was 945. At 9:55, after we saw another couple come out and sit and get waited on, our drinks were empty so my husband went in to ask if it was too late to order another drink, and her response was, " we close at 10". So, my husband took that as a , "yes". This was very disappointing and very frustrating as we spent $700 to stay at this establishment as well as tipped the bartender who never actually waited on us very well.. On top of all of that, there was a gentleman who was clearly overserved, as we walked out he fell off of his bar stool and my husband and another person sitting around the bar had to help him get up...
