Fairly good location. We usually visit night shift 8-10 pm ish.
The good - dollar slushies. usually a good speed on service even when they seem to be understaffed. the cashier that was shot there a few months ago (conspiracy to rob the place by other employees from what I heard) is usually the one who serves us. She is usually of good spirit despite that.
The bad - if your are ordering a slushies make sure you ask for the foam coffee cups because the plastic ones seem to leak.
The ugly - I have never had any serious issue at the jefferson location in the city but I went to the Southgate burger king and ordered 3 slushies and the employees though not of a great spirit too often were of an exceptionally bad attitutuide this day. when we got home my kids said daddy these taste bad or wrong. when I emptied out the slushies it appeared to have chocolate, at least I hope it was, at the bottom of all 3 cups. I called and ended up speaking to the district manager and he said they will look at the tapes and if this appeared to be on purpose he would fire the employee and if not he would use it as training. I guess I can't really expect much more from him as he wasn't there so from him i guess thats fair. at the same point I explained that the bad attitudes of that day makes intentional sabatoge seemed a lot more likely. and if they put chocolate in a slushie how do I know if they did anything else. i am a man I'll deal as needed if it's me, but kids and MY KIDS! I don't play with that. period. He said if I wanted to go to a different location that he would reimburse there. never having any issue with the Jefferson location I said I'd go there. When i went there, before I went into anything or details or before they looked me up or anything the employee of the day was more that willing to take care of anything. on another day I came in to speak with Alice (the Asian lady people keep mentioning) to let her know to cross me off and that it was taken care of she was more that willing to make up yet again for Southgate petits issue that wasn't even her stores issue. now that's service.
in conclusion burger king is not some elite food but if you want some decent fairly quick food the Jefferson street location in the city would not be...
Read moreI kinda liked this place until my last visit there. Permit me to explain why.
I lived at the Rescue Mission down the street while I was stranded in Fort Wayne in the Fall of last year. It is true that one dude regularly panhandles inside the store, but he was not a resident of the mission. As long as he buys something to eat or drink, I'm pretty certain that management cannot kick him out if they don't kick everyone else out, too. Otherwise, management is very mean to him, orders him around, and one even refused to give me more than two packets of mayo, telling me that I would only give it to him. Telling me! I have a medical condition known as Dry Mouth and I need extra condiments to get the food down.
But other than that one time, I enjoyed eating there (except for the last visit). It is true that you can get a free Whopper on certain days with the app coupon if you buy some other item. I took advantage of that quite often. Non-management staff are generally pleasant and willing to please. I did see some lounging about when it was busy, though.
Between my penultimate and ultimate visits, I was involved in a crush injury that broke my pubic bone, tore ligaments in my right knee, and tore my right inguinal ligament. Needless to say, I needed crutches. On that particular cold, cold day in late November of 2020, I hobbled into the store, leaned my crutches up against the wall, and reached into my back pocket with frozen fingers to pull out my mask. Before I could put it on, this nasty, rude manager yells across the counter at me, "Put on your mask! Right now! Don't you ever come in here again without a mask on!"
I very politely showed her the mask and told her that I was. That wasn't good enough for her, because she continued to scream at me. About how the place could be closed down, everyone else had a mask on, and so forth. Even after I put it on and grabbed the crutches to show her that my hands had been previously occupied, the tirade continued until I left.
I normally write down details about the date, time, and even the offender's name if possible for my reviews, but I was in too much pain to even consider that. As I said, it was after my accident on November 18th, and I believe it...
Read moreI just want to say as a consumer sometimes our attitudes reflect on how the service is at any restaurant people come to fast food expecting right now food fast food just means it'll be faster than a regular sit-down restaurant so to clear that up you want fast food go to a gas station buy instant food. They have to cook the food. It they don't cook it you complain it's not cooked all the way. Cook a burger at home and see how long it takes to cook and then come here order your food if it takes less than 2 minutes to get your food it's going to be raw and nasty so be grateful it's hot and ready now number two machines break down not their fault your car breaks down do you call Chevy or Dodge or Ford and complain no you fix it yeah? They cant control soda MACHINES that break down. Number three the homeless is a very big problem because the homeless shelter is right across the street now complain to the city not Burger King it's not their fault the homeless don't have anywhere else to go. We are doing our best to work the trouble makers out so thier paying consumers can enjoy their food. This particular Burger King cares about the safety of their customers which we are working on. Please be patient they believe it or not ARE trying. If you have ideas for them mention it to them maybe you'll have a good idea that can help make it a better place instead of dropping criticism times are hard but we'll get through it if we all stick together just be grateful somebody else is cooking your food and you don't have to regardless how long it takes. Have a great New Year keep up the hard work Burger King. YOU RULE. Sincerely...
