I had no choice but to give one star. I wanted to LOVE this place, and our first visit because it is unlike anything else in Fort Wayne but I was gravely disappointed. From the moment we walked in, it was a horrible experience. Our first time trying this restaurant and made the decision to dine in, (which we rarely do anyway) and after we walked in, we attempted to make our way to the counter to order- confused we looked around and rather than welcoming us, we were asked if we were placing an order or if we there for a pick up, a female employee gestured to the other end of the counter and said, “you can order there.” Feeling embarrassed and unwelcome, we began looking at the menu, we felt rushed as a young male employee kept asking what we wanted and what names needed to be placed on the orders. Rather than trying to recommend anything he just stood there, as if we were an inconvenience. We quickly came up with what we wanted, and placed our order. Then I hesitated and made sure to let the young man know that I wanted the cauliflower crust rather than the original. Realizing that he probably should have asked us BOTH that question as he started building our pizzas. Again, he seemed uninterested during the entire interaction but switched the crust before passing it off. The next young man, with longer/shaggy hair was the ONLY one to confirm if we wanted spicy or regular marinara sauce, and was very polite and made eye contact with us as our order progressed. The female employee, who “greeted,” us returned to the line so we left our order in their hands until it reached the oven, we honestly didn’t have any interaction with them after that point because our food was being passed back and forth and no other questions were being asked. So we felt it easier to let them push the order down, as they continued taking more orders. We should not have done that- because when the pizzas did come out of the oven, our first order was correct but I was given a carnivore pizza instead of the herbivore pizza… and when asked, we told them that our order was for dine in, however they still placed our pizza in togo boxes rather than placing them on the dine-in trays..when I questioned the other female employee who was working the oven area.. she didn’t really assist in helping me resolve my confusion when she told me that the pizza in front of her was a carnivore and not what I asked for. (Herbivore) she had an AirPod in, so I’m guessing she didn’t care much for what was going on either, like the others she too, seemed miserable and did not want to be there. We ended our interaction/experience with the same female employee who “greeted,” us and to no surprise, our order wasn’t confirmed (as in repeating back to us what we had ordered) and giving us a total. Had our order been confirmed at check out, I’m certain I probably wouldn’t have been disappointed and shocked when I was called back to the counter to pick up my order, that had been compelled messed up. Needless to say, we will not be returning nor will we be recommending Blaze Pizza. We went across the lot, and had Yummy Bowl, (Asian Fusion) as I did not...
Read moreI absolutely love Blaze! I have food allergies and it’s really hard finding places to eat. Blaze has been very accommodating for all my allergies. Leo does an amazing job!! He always makes sure my pizza is done right! Love Leo and the blaze team!
Edit I have been going to Blaze Pizza in Fort Wayne, IN since they have opened. I have lots of food allergies and they have always went above and beyond to accommodate me. They know me by name and take extra precautions because of how severe my food allergies are. Glove changes, clean cutters, getting fresh ingredients that haven’t been touched. There is a new General Manager that has not wanted to accommodate my food allergies at all. My husband went there last week and he refused to put my pizza dough on a mat while it’s being cooked. They have always done that for me because of my allergies being so severe. The GM was rude to my husband and told him no. My husband explained to him multiple times my wife is a regular she has been coming here for years and can’t have cross contamination because of her allergies he chewed my husband out and told him no. Today I decided to go in myself the staff working of course got a mat for my pizza and took the extra precautions and the GM was there made them take my pizza off of the mat while it was cooking in the oven. I honestly believe in my heart that he is being prejudice and trying to make me sick on purpose. One of the African American workers whispered to my husband that the GM is terrible and treats him badly. I have been going to Blaze for many years and have never had issues where they couldn’t accommodate my allergies. This new GM is awful and I plan on going to cooperate because I’m not going to let him get away with what...
Read more9/1/2025 2:00 pm. I’m writing this while I am in the store cause this is ridiculous. I understand wanting to hang out with your coworkers and finding ways to make one person tasks a two person task however that should NEVER apply to any work on the line, especially while customers are in the store and can see the active line.
So I walk in around two and I see a dude in front of me with a long complicated order. That’s fine. I’m not paying much attention, until this blonde girl comes up and asks two boys if I’ve been helped, they jump up startled as they had not seen me. Mind you the line is only being managed by these three. You’d think that’d get them to pay attention. Nope. They then proceeded to both work together on one small salad. Now I’m getting a little pissed because I’m listening closer and realize they are gossiping about the family they just made the salad for. Then they have another jump-scare as they realize they have a secondary lunch rush and in the time that they could maintain a steady line they had instead have one out the door. Took 10 minutes to get asked what cheese I want on my pizza despite the fact that I was standing in front of them waiting while they were doing nothing more than gossip.
I left a tip but sadly it was auto. The girl should get the full tip not the boys. She was working around do their jobs and then some.
Food was good. But there is not many ways you can mess up a pizza you...
