I typically do not complain, but I found it necessary to share my experience. If I am wanting a restaurant experience of sitting down in a relaxed environment. Sometimes I may go into a restaurant alone for that experience. Sometimes to work on my computer for business or just to go in for down time instead of going through a drive thru for fast food.
Well, yesterday. I decided I wanted to go alone for lunch and have my go to entree. Grilled Meatloaf. First Encounter: Upon entry, there was a group in front of me, and a group that arrived behind me. I was completely overlooked by the greeter at the desk for area placement. I had to speak up and say, I am next and was standing directly in front. When I walked up; I also explained that I am not much of a bar person. Usually we are given choices if we would like to sit in the bar area or the main. Or the customer is asked if the bar area is okay if seating is limited. I was not given that choice after I initially expressed it. If I wanted a bar experience I would have went to a bar. But I am also flexible if pressed for time and seating is limited. Instead, I was still directed to the bar area to a high table of 4. (I initially requested a table but thought it was a small seated table.) I asked a server that was nearby if I could switch over to a booth instead. She was accommodating and mentioned that she need to wipe the table off first. That worked out.
I was eventually served by this server. She was polite. Provided Menus, took my order. Initially forgot to ask if I wanted a drink but caught it before I could say anything. She brought back the drink in a "Logans To Go Cup". Was not offered water. This is the main culprit of this experience that I was not happy with. I came to a restaurant to enjoy a sit down service and instead I was provided a "To go cup" for my first drink before my main entree. Maybe she was being proactive, but if I wanted a drive thru or fast food experience I would have down that. This is something you offer after awhile, asking if they need their tab, any to go boxes etc. The server was yet still polite but this is a no go for. Everyone else's drinks were served in glasses but I was given a cup with a lid and straw. I have been to Logans a number of times and have never had this type of experience. The Bar area placement after expressing a different placement initially may not be the biggest deal. The cup may not be a big deal. But these things I feel could have been handled differently so that the customer can experience the fullness and nature of restaurant service.
Upon exiting; There was a young man that was very polite with exit statements. Thank you!
Food Quality: 3 Stars in comparison to over the years experience. Meatloaf was okay. Not much bed of mash potatoes as normal. Rolls were still amazing. If you liked their asparagus, they no longer have it. Ordered broccoli instead. All in all, will still order again. I will also come back to Logans again hopefully for a better sit down experience. Ive come to Logans for many years. The purpose of this review is to share the experience and hopefully improve on how non- grouped customers could be...
Read moreWe were in town for a volleyball tournament. Placed carryout order for 2 people at 9:35pm. Was told 20 minutes. Upon arriving, there were about 3 cars in the customer parking area, so I assumed my order would be ready. The hostess asked my name but couldn’t find my order because the person who took my order never asked for my name, she just said “20 minutes” and hung up. Hostess told me to have a seat because it wasn’t ready yet and “she” was still working on it. After sitting for about 15 more minutes, I see a few open boxes of food pushed through the window, where the hostess (wearing artificial nails which harbor bacteria and constantly using her fingers to sweep away the pieces of hair hanging in her face) used her bare hands to place lids on food inside of the styrofoam container and assemble the orders. I kept watching this because it was right in front of my face and I was also wondering if maybe my order was lost because it had no name applied to it. Not once did she use hand sanitizer or wash her hands, but she did stop a few times to slap hands with coworkers as they left. Luckily, my order had nothing inside which required her to touch on. A few moments later, another woman comes from the back, looks at me and says “I can take your form of payment”. It was now 10:17 pm I requested to view my order to verify that it was correct due to the lack of attentiveness that I saw. Good thing I did, because she threw someone else’s meal in my bag and it was nothing close to what I ordered. I ignored the looks that they gave me when I asked to inspect my food which I purchased with my money. They gave me one plastic fork in a brown paper bag although I mentioned a few times that I was staying in a hotel. I had to ask for another fork for the second meal and napkins (she gave me 2). Put some pride into your work! Your disdain is on full display and people notice. Needless to say, I will not be recommending this place for team meals in the future. First impressions are...
Read moreCompanion and I were seated at the bar. Wait wasn't too long, but service was terrible. Ordered loaded baked potato skins for the appetizer. 2 sirloins; 1 medium-well, 1 medium-rare. Both with a skewer of shrimp added. One with green beans, and an (upgraded side) loaded potato soup. Other one with a side salad with blue cheese dressing, and broccoli. Didn't get our rolls until I asked our server for them. Never got our appetizer until we had already received our entrees and once again had to ask for it. When we did get them they were scorching hot on the outside, and stone cold in the middle. (Microwaved to death.) Both steaks were cooked medium rare. Both were served with rice that neither of us asked for. Companion didn't get their salad with blue cheese until we asked. I never got my soup, but they were happy to get it for me to go if I would like. I went ahead and just ate the rice, and asked them to remove the up charge from my bill. Both steaks were grainy and very chewy. Shrimp skewers were burnt on both plates. Honestly the best part of the meal was the rolls! After we went to pay the bill I stood by the counter for almost 20 minutes as the 2 employees behind the counter packed to-go orders and gave a teenage girl who had come in for a to-go order what documents to bring with her to apply for a job. My companion finally asked if anyone was going to let us pay for the meal or if it was au gratis. The younger looking of the two asked for our bill, looked at it briefly then asked if we had been at the bar. Told her that's where we had been placed. She then hands the bill back and tells us we have to pay it in the bar. I'm starting to see why the other Logan's in the US shut down. Poor food, even worse service, and the same price you would pay at a reputable steakhouse. Don't waste your time or money here. Longhorn Steakhouse or Texas Roadhouse have a longer wait because they...
