Ember Big Boy BBQ — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

Horrible. Let start with the fact that we ordered almost 50 dollars in food and we were missing 2 sides and we orders a 13 count rack of ribs and only recieved 7. In top of that, I tried to nicely call them to inform them that the order was short and we wouldn't mind waiting for the rest to be delivered if they could correct it. Well, thats very difficult to do when there's NO CONTACTS NUMBER. You have to send them an email. I searched the internet far and wide to find a way to contact them and its not possible. I went to check Google contact info one mlre time and its non existent. Being scammed out of money is not ideal. Id also like to note that we ordered what was advertised as a fried chicken basket and recieved 1 piece of fried chicken.... this place is not going to get a second visit because at this point I'm extremely annoyed. Over priced food that doesnt show up when you pay for it and a business that gives you a big middle finger if you want to reach them. You'd think they'd care even a little about their reputation. The worst food I've ever had to pay for. I suspect we've been pranked by Ember Smoked BBQ – the oh-so-hip-and-edgy (read the "clever" text throughout their website).

Our experience with food from an Ember in Fort Wayne, IN (via DoorDash) was consistent with what I'm seeing in the majority of reviews here and elsewhere, online.

"Badass Brisket" sandwiches: tiny little bits and pieces (too small and thin to be called "chunks") pressed into the buns -- dry, bland, dank. Never tried Arby's brisket sandwich; but it had to be better.

The SALT(!!!) and chili powder in the baked beans was so overpowering that we felt like we should look around for cameras aimed to catch our reactions to being pranked.

"Waffle Fries?" No, we received traditional fries with such soggy texture and unappetizing appearance that they seemed to have been days-old, warmed and rewarmed.

We ordered this through door dash, not only were we missing multiple items, the ones we did get were not very good. The brisket hush puppies were very dry and you could barely find any brisket in them. The sandwich we ordered was not as pictured…literally just bread and meat…we had to add all of our own pickles, onions and sauces from home because they didn’t even include the pictured items on the side. The meat on the sandwich was dry and old, although we did order fairly late so to be fair that could be on us. Overall, very disappointed with the food, especially because what I ordered didn’t even show up so I didn’t even have an entree, which left me to just have dry hush puppies for dinner.
