I have never reviewed a restaurant on Google before and I do not think that to be fair because I have had some wonderful experiences elsewhere. However that was not the case last night. My wife and I have been looking forward to trying P.F Chang's and were glad when we finally had the time to do so last night. The hostess was pleasant, the atmosphere was nice, our wait time for a table was minimal, our waitress was quick to get us menus and take our order for drinks and appetizers, but that was pretty much the end of anything positive that I could say. Our drinks took about 10 minutes to arrive and we waited nearly 30 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. We then waited nearly 40 more minutes for our food and I was tempted to pay for what we had already been served and go elsewhere but I figured that it wasn't worth it to leave and start the process over again some where else so we stayed. Eventually someone in charge came by and informed us that there was some kind of mix-up and they were putting a rush in on our order and that there was only one other order to be pushed through before ours. She then asked " if there was anything else we would like to order in the mean time ?" To which I said " no , just the dinners that we had already ordered please " Once the food arrived in was good, but you could tell that it had been rushed through and put together quickly. Once we finished eating, we waited patiently for our waitress to come by with our bill, but after waiting for nearly 15 minutes I finally stood up and looked around for her but I could not find her, about five minutes after that a gentleman who I believe may have been the bartender came by and asked if there was something that he could help with? Stating that he could tell that something wasn't right.. He went in the back and located our server, she came by and dropped off the bill, and a few moments later came back by and picked it up. I still gave her a decent tip knowing that anyone could have an off night. ( having daughters that have been servers ) I'm not sure if we will go back. I'm sure that things could/ should have been better, but I was expecting more from their overall reputation. Again I hate that this is my first review as I have had many wonderful experiences at other fine restaurants, but I do believe that posting this review is the right thing to do. Fort Wayne has had some great establishments come and go. Because of bad management, service, or inconsistent products. I hope that that isn't...
Read moreI believe I have done my good dude for the year 2024 by giving this rating of one star.
As I believe in acknowledging the effort and sentiments people put into their work, I have never given anyone this type of review. It was, however, the WORST dining experience I have ever had.
I ordered salmon from this restaurant. As a small request, I asked if potatoes could be substituted with broccoli. The waiter responded, "I have never heard of it.". As I interpreted it, he may be new to the establishment. According to him, he would check. It took 15-20 minutes for him to inform me that they did not have potatoes. Then I asked if there was anything else you could replace it with. We were able to do spinach, they said. I requested that you do so. After 15 minutes, they returned stating that they do not have spinach as well. I commented that it was fine, I would just remove the broccoli and eat the salmon as it was originally prepared. After waiting for 15 minutes, I received this plate with an empty salmon fillet - no sauce, no side dish, no mushrooms (which were part of the original order), like a completely bland piece of salmon on its own. Despite my lack of words, I did not say much. Approximately ten minutes later, the hardworking waiter returned, apologizing for forgetting to bring the rice. Having reached that point, my family and I no longer had any desire to argue with them. As we ate the poorly presented dish, we left silently.
It is evident that they had no regard for their customers or displayed no courtesy toward them. This is the worst service I have ever received anywhere else. Had I been able to give it zero stars, I would...
Read moreI have enjoyed P.F Chang’s for years when I used to live in Florida. I used to buy the tempura green beans from the freezer aisle and instantly was hooked cause they were so good!
Last week I was craving the green beans and planned to go this week. I decided to go out for dinner tonight with my husband and sons. Such a bummer because the food was just alright. We did the feast where it’s 20 dollars a person and it really is a good deal. But the food quality fell short. Part of me wishes I did the happy hour cause it would’ve been a lot cheaper. My husband and I both ordered the egg drop soup and it was just alright. It really needed more seasoning. It was so bland! Next our tempura green beans came and then so did our entrees, the Chang’s spicy chicken and beef lo mein. I was disappointed I didn’t get to enjoy my appetizer cause the entrees came so soon. I was a bit overwhelmed cause I was also finishing up my soup. Anyways the green beans were not great. They were all clumped together and I had to break the tempura apart so I could dip them in the sauce. They also were overly greasy. I’d have to say the freezer ones were better than the ones we had from the actual restaurant. The Chang’s chicken was delicious though and I have no complaints there. But my husband ordered the beef lo mein and when I went to try it, it was soo salty. I couldn’t eat it.
Overall this location was alright. It’s a bummer cause it’s the only one close to us and it wasn’t even busy but now I can see why. I might as well go to Panda Express cause at least their food is always pretty good and it’s a...
