I am writing this review for myself and the experiences I have had with Panera previously (some good, so that is why you got 2 stars) and for the experience that our office just experienced. Firstly, every time I go to a Panera Bread you guys are always out of SOMETHING. I understand this happens sometime but this happens almost every single time I go there. It gets old. Secondly, I think your prices are outrageous in general. You could lower them, but you choose to overcharge and that stops me a lot from going more often. Thirdly, my co-workers and I tried to place an order today online for lunch and the first time we got a time of delivery confirmation and it seemed to process the payment, just fine, but no confirmation email. We assumed it just did not go through and placed an additional order. Same situation. Then we tried to call the Jefferson Pointe location to see if the order was even placed, if the card got charged once or twice, and when we could expect it to be here. Three different people within our office tried to call this location (tried speaking to phone order department, catering department, and manager) but each time it would just ring and ring and then hang up. We tried countless times and absolutely nothing. We tried calling the corporate office for help and the lady was very rude and of no help to us. She wouldn't look to see if the order was placed or the card charged, simply just said, well if you didn't get an email confirmation then hopefully it is fine. AGAIN, you guys are so expensive that it is NOT fine to know whether or not you charged a card twice! After receiving terrible customer service there, I called your Dupont office where they informed me that it was the Jefferson Pointe location's busy hours and that someone would probably not answer the phone until 1:30pm or 2pm. She acted like this was just a regular thing and completely fine. It is not! If you offer online order placements, call in ordering, catering, etc. during lunch hours then SOMEONE needs to answer the phone. At the very least get a phone system that keeps us on hold and doesn't hang up on us after half a dozen rings. We received no food and now need to monitor transactions on a card to make sure we don't receive a double charge from a ridiculously over priced sandwich shop that apparently lacks customer service skills and can't afford/or doesn't care to hire someone to answer the phones to assist their customers! I like your food and have had decent service before, but this is just unacceptable and you need to find a way...
Read moreI went with my family and we ordered quite a bit of food, and my sandwich order is a bit weird. I usually order a Frontega Chicken Panini with no tomatoes, no onions, and I substitute the smoked chicken on it for the chicken that is used on the salads. Upon receiving my order, I saw that it had smoked chicken on it, so I sent it back to be fixed and the person who brought out the food said that it was the cashier’s fault for the mistake and that he is wanting to report her to the manager for consistently messing up (that’s not what I wanted to happen and felt extremely guilty), but from my experience at Panera, the person who brings the food is supposed to confirm the order with the line cooks and mark it off, and it was rung up correctly on my receipt. Receiving the fixed order, they included tomatoes and onions but had the correct chicken. I took it myself back to the line cooks and told them what I specifically wanted (chicken from the salads, no onions, no tomato), then they brought it back to my table, but now it only had the chicken and sauce on it, no cheese or basil. At this point, I didn’t want to bother with trying to fix it again. Read moreTerrible service. Food comes out cold or wrong and they refuse to fix it. I'd give zero stars if I could. Btw I ordered on the kiosk. Whatever you do don't move from your table. All I did was put my stuff down for 30 seconds to regroup myself because I had other customers literally pushing me out of the way. So it assigned me to that table. The staff is so stupid that they keep going back to that first table. I mean come on after two attempts you keep going back to the wrong f table? What about looking around when you send out other peoples food. After a half hour I go up and ask for my food. It's ice cold and they refuse to make another because it's past breakfast. As I was eating my ice cold sandwich, I ordered for my in-laws o my phone thinking I have better luck. Well, 15 minutes go by. They arrive. They wait another 15 minutes. When the food finally arrives. It's cold and wrong. It gets fixed, but only after marching back in and demanding it gets fixed. I will go back to this establishment again.
